I don't play Bards often, if at all, but when me and my friend decided to check out The Aielund Saga, i decided i wanted to try something new, so i went for a Bard with the idea of going Bard/Rogue/Shadow Dancer or Bard/Dragon Disciple after i got my lvl 6 Bard Spells (lvl 17 i think?).

So far i was (still am actually) enjoying this character, but the other night i hit lvl 13 and got my lvl 5 Bard Spells, but cannot cast them....WTH?
Yesterday i went and did a complete re-roll, keeping the same starting stats, but instead of pumping all my bonus attribute points into Dex at lvls 4, 8 and 12, i pumped 2 into Charisma thinking my Charisma might be too low at 16, but with 18 it's the same deal, what gives?

In the end i decided to start multiclassing with DD already, but i'm looking to find out WHY i'm having that problem, i don't really see any reason for it...or maybe i'm just missing something entirely:pinched:

You need at least 20 innate Cha for a level 13 bard to cast level 5 spells. Ability modifier on NWNwiki

edit:  It is possible that if you find an item that gives level 5 bard spell slots, that would work with lower Cha but don't hold me to that.
