i just bought a new laptop and it has both and integrated gpu and a nvidia GT555m and the game is set to use the nvidia card but the configuration tool only detects the integrated card. does anyone know how to fix this?

It's a fault in the Geforce driver, I am fairly certain. Happens all of the time with that type of setup.

Have you tried disabling the integrated graphics card in Windows? (in the device manager, right click on the integrated card under display adapters and select disable)

yeah i tried that and it disabled my monitor so that doesnt work. do you think the actual game is running off the nvidia card because if so i can just change the settings in game?

If it is running remotely well, then it is probably using the Nvidia card, but I couldn't tell you for sure.
