Okay, so I just recently bought that game and was playing around a bit when I found the wonder of mods/cheats. The first things I attempted was to do the enable console cheat. That doesn't work because I have NO bin_ship folder. I can't find it anywhere on my computer. Not with searchs or looking in other folders manually. Does anyone know where to find the bin_ship on a win7. Also, I don't have a Dragon Age: Origins icon to make into a desktop shortcut.

Next problem is I downloaded two mods: Pineappletree's Vibrant Colors and Kzelsama's More Hairstyles. Now, I was able to get the skin color, hair color, and extra hairstyles to work. But then all the eye colors in the game turned black. There's no option for another color and even the NPCs have black eyes.

So I uninstalled them and then re-downloaded, tried it again, and still the same result. So after that I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it only for the black eyes to pop up immediately, even without the mods applied. Can someone help me. I've already tried all the capatibility mods for both pineappletree and kzelsama, none fo them work.

The black eyes has been fixed. A friend gave me a link that solved the problem without having to reinstall mods again. But she wasn't able to figure out the bin_ship problem.

Sorry. You chose to ignore all of the Stickies, and the most common reason for (one of) the problem(s) you named is directly connected with the missing information you chose not to provide (directly or indirectly). You'll need to do much better than you've done so far to allow for useful answers.  The archives also can answer that part, although probably not through the forum's own Find function, but rather through Bing, Google, or Yahoo.

See the solutions round up thread and read first threads pinned to the top. The stickies have been breeding, so I figured I'd give a more narrow target. Gorath is correct, however. The read first thread says read first for a reason. Without that information no one can help you.

But I have no more information to provide for why I don't have a bin_ship? I've seen the cheats like: http://www.gamespot....g=tabs%3Bcheats and wanted to try it out. When looking in My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age... The instructions say to make a shortcut through bin_ship of the file daorigins.exe. I can't find either the bin_ship folder or daorigins.exe.

I have search my computer using both the search options and going through all the folder I could think of. I wasn't able to find anything that closly resembled a bin_ship nor the file daorigins.exe. Therefore my question was if anyone knew where this folder could be found because without it I can't make the shortcut to enable the console. At least to my knowledge. Is that enough detail? I don't know if there's anything else I can add other than I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the game once and still haven't been able to find the folder.

Oh, solved! I just got a message where someone directed me to the path they use for win7 and I was able to find it with only a folder difference.

Thank you for trying to help me anyway Sami Jo and Gorath Alpha. I'm sorry I didn't got to the Read First sticky and the likes. For whatever reason I thought those were something else entirely. Thank you again!
