Also, I hoping for elevators back, too.  And am I the only one that was hoping for the airlock on the Normandy to return, too?  Both that and the elevators brought a nice level of immersion.

I'd settle for the Normandy not leaving dock and flying away when all I want to do is go research a new upgrade.

You are not alone in this. Citadel control must've thought, "What idiot is commanding that ship?!" ../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png

Strolling around the Presidium again!  Im looking forward to it already!!

Wonder if that Hanar is still busy preaching away... :P

I wanna see that krogan diving into the Presidium lakes looking for fish! ^_^

In the background while you are having a serious conversation with someone. AWESOME.

:lol::lol:  With C-Sec personnel hot on his heels. See BioWare, not every quest conclusion has to be elaborate to be great.

As long as the full presidum + the wards return I'll be happy.

Hmm, wonder if this includes elevator banter, or just general banter like Dragon Age. Hopefully the latter.

Unless it's an elevator that involves a cutscene like in ME2 we probably won't get elevators back, and personally I wouldn't want them back. I would like to see DA style banters or even DA2 banters in that your companions "home base" would be their quarters aboard the Normandy, might be a little different since none of the squad members would be there 247.

Any ways I am glad they're bringing back the presidium, I just hope it not a cubicle sized area.

ill take this annoucement with a grain of salt until we have confirmation that its the Presidium from ME1 (aka somewhere you could walk around and interact with NPCs). It's more than likely going to be another ME2 Presidium AKA single cell areas you teleport between .... UGH.

This is kind of a obvious thing isnt it? It was in the last 2 games. Why wouldnt it be in the last?

It was a tiny room with a view in ME2. It was a huge, explorable area in ME1.

All those areas weren't the Presidium. The Presidium was even smaller than that.

And after walking around for 30 seconds, the lights go off and Husks start coming out of the vents.

And you've played ME3 to confirm that? Or are you implying that I don't know the difference between the Wards and the Presidium sir?

If the latter, let me rephrase; ME3's Presidium will probably be a bunch of single cell areas you teleport between, similiar to how the mechanic was implimented for the CITADEL in ME2.

Are you happy now Elitist?

Guilty as charged...  I meant looping.

I really prefer elevators over seeing the loading screen of my Normandy again and again.

Although now I've said that, one was static: the very first one that's just the ME2 logo.  It's still actually a bink video file playing, but since it's just the same frame over and over, I don't think that counts for much.

In my opinion, elevators in me1 were not much better than loading screens in me2, save for the occasional squad interaction. Other than that, it was hearing the same few news reports over and over again. Seeing my team-mates actually acknowledge each other is always a treat. If they put some more of that in, i will most definitly be awaiting the triumphant ascension of the elevators back into me3.

The PC/console issue makes elevators tricky.

The 30 second loading screens on the 360 in ME2 were horrible. I'd rather be able to at least look at the character models and hear banter on an elevator while it loads.

I always considered the replacement of elevators with loading screens to be a huge overreaction by Bioware. The "Someone complained about X, remove it totally!" mentality that was heavy in ME2. It seems they forgot why they put the elevators in the game in the first place.

However having seen how fast it loads on even a half decent PC, (only a couple of seconds on some) then I would say being forced to sit through 30 seconds of elevator would be annoying, banter or not. Perhaps a simple "Loading complete. Press X to skip" text prompt in the bottom corner of the screen so you have the option?

30 seconds? Did you install the game in your Xbox 360? Because here it takes way less than that!

No, I don't have the space to install both discs. Old 20GB I'm afraid, mostly full of DLC. I did (recently) time a loading screen at an even 30 seconds though.

We shouldnt need to go in an elevator for Banter though.

Yeah. Going up and down the same elevator just to hear all the banter was a little cheap.

This, and the more side missions you completed, the more likely your squad is going to be muted out by the time you're done with said side-missions. I'm sick of having to hear about how my rescue operation was "a massacre" for the 20th time on my return trips in the Citadel.

I seriously doubt that when you initially responded to me you were joking. You would have phrased your response different if you were joking the whole time.

believe whatever you want bra. bottom line is: teleporting between cells instead of actaully travelling there breaks up the immersion and makes the world seem small and disconnected.

I never agreed or disagreed with you regarding the Presidium. I just wanted you to know that only the Presidium section you can jump to is part of the Presidium, every other place on the Citadel in ME2 were part of the wards.

Strolling around the Presidium in ME1 is my favorite part of the series so far location-wise, so this is great news!
