I think it said somewhere that the Protheans learned how/evolved to study or feel the secrets or "voices" of water, since it has pretty much been a part of everything since the beginning of time.

That's probably how he could sense so much of both Shepard and the ship.

Science be damned, because that's a pretty neat trick.

That's a shame. He/she probably spends too much time talking to the LI and not enough about the mission too, I bet.

Just a heads up, Prothy's back can be seen in the Special Forces trailer at 1:02 apparently in a cutscene. This makes me think he will not be a downloadable character...

Honestly, I never believed they were all completely extinct or at least not all killed by the Reapers. How could Ilos have been their only secret facility? Even with all the info the Reapers had on them on the Citadel some had to survive and escape. There had to be some in places Reapers weren't aware of. I don't think every member of their species was tracked. Certainly the majority were lumped together in groups but there had to be some "loaners" that went off on their own somewhere.

that is impossible a prothean survived 50,000 years. and because all character's from Me2 are getting
Minor roles. People not knowing how awesome Prothy really is.

I feel you. Hopefully we'll get to fully experience all of the characters, old and new. Through DLC or... whatever.

We could shoot him out of a cannon at the Reaper... it'd be like birds hitting an airplane windshield, might slow it down for a few seconds.
