Prothy's civilization was in ruins by the time he was born, I think a lot about the Protheans will be a mystery to him as well.

Which is why it would be awesome if his "loyalty mission" had us going to a prothean world (maybe even the homeworld?), where we can find out a little about his people. Heck, if they're going the "additional survivors" route, we might even find a stasis bunker or something.

My knowledge comes from strange logic, and leaked intel.

If you wish to inquire something, then ask here. But if it is too spoilery for the eyes of mortal men - then a private message pigeon should be sent, and i shall reply.

But you said no exceptions.

I said no exceptions about them getting there eventually.

Give it time. It too will devolve into babies or PvR.

Though Legion babies is not something disturbing thing.:P

I mean, robots don't give birth to babies, they create them.

Oh, goddammit.

Have a screencap from my favorite movie for now, instead.

...Legion-babies does sound cute, though.
As does Prothy-babies.

Anything-babies is cute, as long as they're not being loud.

On to new matters:

I just noticed a similiarity between the protheans and the Krynn from the game Galactic Civlizations II. The Krynn were originally a multitude of different species having evolved on a single planet who devoted themselves to pursuing a religious/cultural dogma called "The Krynn" (meaning "The Way"). All who embraced this dogma would call themselves Krynn.

In the game, Krynn have huge cultural bonuses, meaning they influence other species very easily, drawing massive amount of tourists (economy) and immigrants (population). A good Krynn player (or a Krynn player left alone for the entirety of the game, which only happens once in a blue moon) can decimate every single enemy in the game without firing a single shot by simply exerting so much influence over the other players' species that their populations basically give up on their former identities to become Krynn.

Reminds me a little of how the Prothean Empire worked. Though less religion and more "Hey, you're strong and we'd like you to add your strength to ours. We got money, resources, loads of fine *****es. If you say no, we crush you and wipe your species from the face of the galaxy. Fair deal?"

No. Jesus Christ, don't presume BioWare invented the "multiple species under a single belief"-trope. Galactic Civilizations II was released in Feb 2006, and the expansion in which the Krynn were introduced was released in Feb 2007, long before Mass Effect or Dragon Age.

Dont ****en count me as an idiot.

The concept of a totalitary militaristic culture, with a strong unified culture is as old as the world.

My favourite type of country

Too late.

Also, let's hope that bunker of protheans is never found.  My chances with Prothy are already low.

They were probably too few to sustain a viable population anyway.

That depends: can the cutting edge genetic modification of 2186 allow doctors to remove genetic defects and counteract inbreeding depression in utero? If they can, that problem is gone.

I wouldn't count on it. People all over the galaxy would be doing it instead of the old fashioned way in that case.

Yeah but they aren't on the verge of extinction either. Except the krogan, kind of. But the krogan wouldn't need it, they'd be all like "F**k off" to genetic defects and inbreeding depression and just roll with it, krogan style.

Even if inbreeding becomes "okay" from a biological standpoint, there's still a social stigma to it.
