I'm tired and just being foolish really.
I haven't really spoiled "crucible" for myself yet, but I've been assuming that it's the deus ex machina that will be instrumental in defeating the reapers.
I haven't spoiled too much of ME3 for myself yet, other than Prothean. Rather than being upset about it, I was just greatly overjoyed.

I haven't spoiled anything but the prothean for myself either, I just know of crucible, I don't know what it does but I assume things.

No, plot device and deus ex machina are completely different things.

If Zeus descends from heaven to personally kill the Reapers and you had no idea that Zeus was even part of this universe, then you can talk about a deus ex machina. I don't know much about the Crucible myself but if it's like the Conduit and announced fairly early in te plot it can't possible be considered a deus ex machina.

There will be many missions, about the Crucible, so yeah, Its announce pretty early.


Dont know if it actually is needed to defeat the reapers tho

Sadly semantics are changed by successive generations, and some tools now believe that an "asspull" automatically means a Deus Ex Machina no matter how gradually the item is pulled from said ass.

You're not the only one, someone thinks it's Phil LaMarr, but given the fact that BW likes to cast people who have been in genre franchises and Triple A (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje's nickname) is based in LA....

As someone who spent their childhood listening to Phil Lamaar, I can tell you that is definitely not him. If it's not Triple A, then its an actor that is unknown to me.

Also what makes prothy so quoteable is his voice. It makes it sound like everything he's saying is important.
