In the artbook he's just called "The Prothean".

According to one source (who currently has presented a fair bit of info that seems genuine), the Prothean's actual name is Javik, but if that's indeed the case, then that name was a later addition to the script cause that name is nowhere present in the leaked scripts.

And now I'm listening to Prothy's lines and clips of Mr. Eko back-to-back. It's POSSIBLE that they're the same guy, but it's hard to tell through the voice filter. It could just as easily be someone else.

Then again, Mark Meer voiced half the aliens AND BroShep, and most people had no idea.

Has it been confirmed that Prothy is dlc? I ask this because while listening to his dialogue, squadmates are talking to him, and with Zaeed and Kasumi the only dialogue they had was with Shepard.

I don't see why he'd be DLC if he was in the files of the demo's final build. I think that points towards him being in game canon. But it isn't confirmed either way.... They've gone back and forth with it.

Guess we'll just have to see when the game comes out unless they make an announcement about the DLC but I doubt it.

I hadn't really given it much though, but I suppose it is very likely anyone outside the squad that meets the Prothean will not believe it is truly what they're told it is. Nobody believes you when you mention the Reapers, I'm sure they won't be quick to take you seriously when you introduce them to your new 50,000 year old friend.

It's probably going to be the same as when you took Legion around public areas. The only time I can think of where someone made a comment about Shepard having a live Geth was the beginning of Overlord DLC.

Off the top of my head, he was mentioned when you went to the Council and took him to Tali's trial. I'm sure there were more.

The way I see it, the only way he could be DLC would be if it was locked content, which would be very, very regrettable.
