I laughed a lot when I heard him say "Commandah".
Don't get me wrong, I totally love his voice.

I really hope he's a squad mate for everyone not just dlc it would completely disappoint me if he was =/.
We've had this discussion many a time here at this thread. All I can say is: He's probably for everyone, after the fan backlash of the DLC leak a while back, BioWare must've put him back in the main game.

There's prothy hate? O_o But...why?!
2. He's black.
My reactions:
1. Deal with it. Prothy's awesome.
2. Y'all are racist. The voice is hot.
He's a prothean, though. I mean...I don't even...people really shouldn't equate aliens with human analogues. That's so ethnocentric.p because they like yellow and BW went with blue, yada yada yada.
You're joking, right? You do realize that EVERY alien race in ME universe, excluding the geth and vorcha, are essentially human historical cultures given alien faces. Krogan = Celtic wariors. Turians = Spartans. Asari = ancient Roman empire. Salarians = ancient Chinese empires. Batarians = Mongrols.
Do not confuse inspiration for copy-pasta from a history book (which wouldn't be that accurate anyway). ...And which would be pretty damned insulting, actually.

Also, does it make me a bad fan if I kind of want the game to leak so I can see/hear more Prothy? It probably does.

A prothean squadmate, who is clearly a bit of a dick(based on the twitter feed), and hopefully sounds like an old-guy alien and looks like a collector(cause regular protheans look like they are incapable of doing anything other than slouching like pros and collectors just look cooler).
NO, WAIT!
Prothy is not a regular prothean stuck in stasis; Prothy is a rogue collector from the first protheans captured and experimented on by the Reapers, who escaped and THEN put himself(or is it itself by that point?) into stasis!

It's 345 hours until I get my hands on the game. Yes, I've moved beyond the counting the days stage and am now on hours. That's how much I'm excited.AdmiralCheez wrote...

In this link, at the end, is that Michael Beatie? or just a really good impression from another actor?

I've heard a lot of people say it's Mark Meer, but I'm not 100% sure.

I think there is a powers list somewhere floating about, but I'm not sure.Bundalings wrote...
So we know he's a biotic, likely similar to a Vanguard, but do we know what his powers will be? I think it would be cool to have a squad member that could use Charge... doesn't seem like it's too much to ask for, but I don't know.
And having a squad mate charging about the battlefield sounds about as good an idea as giving them heavy weapons.

Slam and "Dark Channel," which from the data file looks like a really long-lasting but slow-acting ME2 reave (20 dmg/s, 30 s duration).

(I tried to find that info in the original leaks, but all I could come with for the Prothean's powers were Slam and Biotic Focus)

I believe that each squadmate in Mass Effect 2 had their own theme, so I hope that the same applies to Mass Effect 3 and Javik (?) gets his own, interesting theme. Something low with heavy percussion to match his anger would seem appropriate. The Benny Hill theme would also suffice.
I think this one would be pretty fitting for his theme song.
http://youtu.be/oRTTlEk4NeA
I've considered a remix of "Vigil" being a good theme too. But the simplicity of Vigil is really what makes it such a standout song, so I'm not sure if that would necessarily work.
That music sounds like it's from Assassin's Creed. lol
