The idea of it being a batarian appealed to me. I had wanted to believe Javik wasn't DLC just so I could contemplate such a thing, but I felt too strongly that he was, so no dice.

IDK exactly how big that file was, since he was contained within the rest of the Cerberus Network, which was a fairly large DLC package. I'd imagine just Zaeed's stuff was about the same as Kasumi's.

Figured as much that he'd indeed be the DLC.... not like BioWare doesn't have a history of denying DLC content that later turns out to be true, after all.

Now that begs the question for my PC version of the game...do I continue paying down my standard edition I have pre-ordered, and just get the day-one DLC...or do I spring for the CE digital download? It's only $10 difference one way or the other, I just really, really like having physical copies instead of digital ones...

Kinda disappointed this guy is DLC...I could have thought of better characters to make DLC...*grumble grumble* But oh well, I had a suspicion ever since I heard there was a Prothean squaddie.

Depends on whether or not you want the additional N7 weapons, an alternative outfit for Shepard, an AA pack for your squad, a FENRIS mech dog on the Normandy, and a bunch of other extras in the CE or if you just want the Prothean's DLC.

Seems like a wasted opportunity to make him DLC since he could've played a pretty sizeable importance to the last act of ME3.

They never denied that he would be a DLC squadmate. The only official comment about it was that that text shouldn't have been on the announcement image.

I think the only thing that's holding me back from going ahead and getting the digital download is the fact I have horrid luck with computers, and try to get physical copies of programs whenever possible. I suppose I can get the digital download and pick up a used physical copy for cheap.

That is definitely plausible. I can see how if people think the Prothean sole survivor thing is too far-fetched, then they can just not download the DLC and be done with it.

But if that's the case, that makes me wish to all that's holy that we can have the option to NOT put squaddie X into villan Y's body. Just sayin'. I find a Prothean character to be much more plausible than some other things they're doing with this game.

Right and making those that do want him have to pay $10 if they didnt get CE or DD is perfectly fine.... im sure they fleshed him out really well like shale but its crap they wouldnt even offer it to those that bought the game new (if they actually do do that then its perfectly fine).
