If only. All of his dialogue is written in the form, "You, do that," as opposed to "Liara, do that" or "Garrus, do that". When you're picking squadmates, you get "Choose Prothean". No one ever refers to him by name, simply "the Prothean".

I hope you're right, that it's just a placeholder, but given that EVERYTHING is written in that form it makes me doubt, since it would require a massive writing rework to insert a name.

How?

Just instead of "you" and "Prothean" put his name.


Besides, this script is outdated, they could have choose the name by now.

Many people read leaked Beta script and confirmed Prothy to be in ME3 and he's very important.

Probably because the entire asari religion is based on a Prothean and that the asari aren't advancing technology themselves, they're just digging it out from a Prothean artifact and Liara refuses to believe it.

Yeah, it sounds more like he's either an Adept or a Vanguard, because he took out like twenty Cerberus troopers just after he came out of stasis. While probably being unarmed. Man, Protheans are grumpy sleepers.

And it makes sense with the whole mind read thing he's got going.
