Don't get me wrong, I love Prothy's design, but I can't get over his four eyes because the Collectors had four eyes. I thought the Reapers usually added a second pair of eyes to the indoctrinated species, as seen with the husks.

As not seen with the Reaper Human.

^Collectors were advanced version of husks.

Also, Keepers only have 2 eyes.

mmm anyone seen the prothean lookin soldiers on the trailers?

What do you mean?

Those were Alliance soldiers in helmets.

I should know... cause I didn't spot a single damn alien anywhere in that trailer. <_<

Actually, we can see glimpse of Prothy in Co-Op trailer.

True, at 1:02. He looks so sexy in his shiny armor.

This Microsoft mistake was a good one this time, it forces Bioware to finally confirm Prothy

That's no guarantee they will discuss it openly.

Something tells me that you are only purchasing the rights to use him as a squad-mate.
Without purchase the character still appears and plays his part but you can't select him in the squad

That would be wonderful! But this would mean that the mission with him couldn't be the one where you discover him in his stasis capsule, cause he has to awake anyway...and I hope that you're purchasing the rights to use him as a squadmate and the rights to play his personal mission...

So Glad it looks like this is more or less going to work like Sebastians DLC, Bonus for buying the game but available from Day 1 for everyone to experience weaved within the story.

Still, didn't DA2 automatically upgrade all preorders to signiture edition and everyone had the code. Wasn't even more exspensive a version, let alone limited, sucks that I have to spend £10 for on the day to get it when I preordered months ago but they simply had no collectors editions left already.

Yeah people are going to miss out on this. I personally hope he'll be included with day 1 purchases.

Forgive me for not trudging through 160 pages first, but.. what about the statues on Ilos then? They also fit what little of the Protheans we see in the visions.

And neither looks anything like Prothy.

The design team did a concept or two that looked like the Ilos statues, but they decided to go with a more Collector-ish design.

Thanks :) I really liked the old design on those statues.. they had this whole melancholy - resignation thing going down.

^The statues are relevant, though. They depict Isunannon, a species who populated the galaxy 1 cycle before the protheans. They used to rule Ilos in their time.

As far as i can see, he has no plot relevance whatsoever (Except the artifact-mission on Thessia)

I'd like a source, not assurance. ;)

Is it from the art book? It's certainly never mentioned in ME1 or 2.

My squad is going to have so much sass. Shepard with her sassy alien squaddies, Brokarian and Brothean... gah, there will just be just too much sass to handle.

#Team Sassy

So guys, anyone curious about an alternative outfit/armour? What would you want Prothy in?

One things that irks me still is the fact that if those statues were inusannon, a race that vanished far before the protheans, why are they in the PROTHEAN beacon visions?

This suggests they are more likely one of those races that protheans conquered during their cycle and which eventually started to call themselves "protheans", one of the many species the reapers reaped that cycle. Think about it, why would the beacon show us images of a race that passed along long time ago instead of a race that died in the protheans cycle?

Bioware probably first designed them to be protheans but then did a retcon and provided this story loophole for them, when they decided to include a prothean team member. I guess tentacles are too hard for them to animate or something.

Whatever...
