I signed the petition, I'm getting the Prothean regardless since I have the N7 collectors edition, but I feel its unfair that no one else gets to enjoy Javik's splendor!

Well I can post them in here but the only way to make them your avatar is to use that tutorial.

I don't accept it, but I'm also not going to boycott the game because of day one DLC, I just don't want this discussion here, if one doesn't agree with the other, he's an idiot, there is no way of having a rational discussion about this without flames going around everywhere.

I'm grateful that someone with a fanbase is echoing our concerns. 12,771 likes on that video, that's a lot more views than it's reflecting right now.

I'm sure Bioware will respond, and possibly in some way compensate for this outrage. But I doubt they can do much at this point. Even in response to the Deception controversy it was a bit too late. "We'll make changes to future editions". Ect...

So they don't have many options. Here are the outcomes I can think of.

#1 - Make it free (would make CE a bit pointless and possibly cause even more anger)
#2 - Scrap it as DLC. Put him in the main game. (Probably not possible now. I think that's too late)
#3- Make it available for free with all new purchases (Most likely resolution, if they do anything)
#4- Make it available for all pre-orders (Maybe, but I doubt this would calm the outrage)

As most of you know, yesterday there was a leak that revealed the upcoming DLC “ME3:From Ashes” on theXbox LIVE Marketplace. This leak took place before we were prepared to make an announcement about the details of that pack (slated for this Friday). 

There has been a lot of discussion about the DLC offering but we wanted to clarify a few things... 

- “From Ashes” includes the Prothean squad mate, an adventure on Eden Prime, a new weapon, and an alternate appearance for every squad mate. Note that these alternate appearances are in addition to the ones already advertised in the CE.

- The Collectors Edition has been advertised from the beginning as containing a bonus character/mission, but we were not at liberty to provide the details. The Prothean is optional content that is certainly designed to appeal to long-time fans, which is why he is part of the CE offering (the version many fans would be likely to purchase).  Mass Effect 3 is a complete – and a huge game - right out of the box.

- The content in “From Ashes” was developed by a separate team (after the core game was finished) and not completed until well after the main game went into certification.

- The Collectors Edition has been sold out in most places for some time now, and is becoming very hard to find (many players prefer not to purchase the digital version). As such, we wanted to make this content available so that SE buyers could also incorporate the Prothean into their game.

We’ll be releasing someimages and video about this pack in the coming days. 
As always, we are extremely thankful for all of your support. We pulled out all of the stops to make Mass Effect 3 the best game ever, and we can't wait for you all to experience it.

Doubtful..
But we do however get a new weapon, appearance pack, mission, ect. In addition with Prothy

This kind of worries me. I was hoping he was in the game no matter what and that the DLC just put him in your squad.

It kind of worries me too but it looks like this is how it will be. At least we get the option to get him so the ones who do, will get him. Still think he should be in the main game though.
