Is this true? Can it not be avoided? If this is true, it's the first spoiler for this game that I'm actually borderline upset about hearing. If it is true, I wish it weren't, but if it is true I also wish I hadn't heard about it yet, this would have been a really serious moment in the game for me. Hopefully I'm making a bit of sense and not just rambling on here.

You will have 3 choices it seems when it comes to deciding the Geth-quarian arc.

Choose quarians as assets
Choose geth as asssets
Make peace between the two (If you have done certain things in ME2 & 3) and make both of them assets.

AFAIK he wasnt intended to be DLC from the get-go.

So this clarifies the situation a bit
