I don't like this model, but I'm not ready to pick up a pitchfork yet.  I think ME's team made an unfortunate decision and there are going to be angry people.

   

i'm not getting my pitch fork yet but the torches are primed and ready, the tar is a bubbling and feathers being plucked as we speak.

So of course I've been spoiled again and managed to hear Prothy's voice. That accent is probably the last thing I expected from the character, not sure what to think of it yet.

Uh, I just clicked a link somewhere in the thread to youtube. Sounded mostly like combat dialogue.


*It's not like it sounds "bad"... it's unique. I just expected with the dialogue I read that he would have a lower, snide English accent. Or possibly Jeremy Irons or Alan Rickman would have been awesome. Hearing the African accent made my headcannon violently explode.

It's not unlike Jack being called SuZe prior to ME2's launch. It went out of style rather fast once her real name was revealed.

And for you uninitiated, SuZe stands for Subject Zero, which was Jack's moniker for quite some time in ME2's marketing.

Oh man. Now I'm having flashbacks of ME2 marketing reactions. Back when the forums were flipping out about how Jack was a "stereotypical, uninteresting appealing-to-the-FPS-retards" character. Just like the Vega response.

Is Prothy being refered to as Javik through the entire game or is his name some later-in-the-game reveal like Fenris/ Leto?

You have to make them fit. Some are too long to be placed next to each other, even though it looks like they should fit.

I think on some missions I may pair up Javik and Liara just so I can hear him wipe the floor with her. I do like Liara, but I cannot pass up the mocking he throws at her.
