@PnXMarcin1PL: Go to the last page, Someone With Mass posted most of the stuff there. I'd send you the whole deal if I knew how to find it all. Sadly, the script is not marked with speaker annotations, so it's extremely difficult to find character-specific dialogue unless they actually speak the name of the character - and in that case, the character might not even be present in the dialogue, just mentioned.

In the case of Prothy, he's just called the Prothean... which gives a gazillion search results in the codex and everywhere else but the dialogue. The stuff I've found I've mostly stumbled upon by chance.

Yeah, most of the time, they're just saying "You, go do that!" which could have referred to anyone if the rest of the squadmates hadn't been listed as well.

It's perhaps fifteen dialogues out of at least ten thousand.

Skimming through a few of the spoilers, and I think I'm going to love Prothy.

Basically, "everything is expendable in war and I am magnificent."

Very warrior-philosopher. Like if Thane lost his religion and became more of a douchebag.

Also I think it's cool/tragic that he was one of the last generations of protheans, who only ever knew the war with the Reapers. It explains his attitude and makes him a really tragic figure. I also like his psychic powers. Not very science-y, but hey, blue space babes. They handled him well.

I can only imagine how the concept meeting must have gone:

"So, we need to create a new character from the prothean species, a survivor of the previous cycle. What will he be like, considering all the grim stuff that's happened to him? How can we spin off on that and still make him a likeable character?"

*Guy on DA:O's writing team overhears the meeting and pops in his head* "Write him like Sten. Except in space."

*Guys from ME3 writing team looks at him with caution* "Alright, let's do that."

AND IT WORKED.

I think it's really good that we have Prothy on the team. Otherwise the squad would be too heavy on the "Shepard's BFF and fanclub" characters such as Tali, Garrus and Liara. Although those are my favourite characters, when that's all the squad is, it gets a little boring, and Prothy will provide a nice contrast to that.

Also, I loved Sten.

With a small pinch of humor.

He seems to take joy in calling the other races out on how their foundations are made out of lies.

I really like the Prothean. He seems a lot like Sten, as others said.
I'm eager to see how he looks. Considering that there are different species under the Prothean Empire (which philosophy resembles a lot the Qunari's, even their view on magic/machines), he could be different from the statues on Ilos.

I'm not so optimistic. Honestly, this was the one major gripe of mine with the leak material I went through. I'm holding out a sliver or hope that it'll feel more in-place once I get there and experience it, but I think it'll ultimately be more facepalm-worthy to me than Project Lazarus.

My head just rejects too  many things about it that I believe they can even begin to explain away, and this coming from a guy that didn't give one schit about armor-less squadmates in ME2 combat.

*edit* - qualifier.

Hmmm - gotta say, if that's the Prothean motto - I might have one moment of "Renegade" that I won't be able to resist.

"The strong survive, the weak perish." - Prothean.

"I agree, say hello to history." *blam! blam! blam!* - My Shepard.

I despise that philosophy - and feel it should be used to its furthest outrageous conclusion on the people who believe in it.

I hope we can challenge his views. I do not necessarily disagree with him, but I think the weak deserves a chance to become strong before they are left to their fate, which is why I save so many in Mass Effect. Everyone deserves a chance, even if they might not use it well.

I forgot to add that you can tell him that the strong should protect the weak instead, if you see it that way.

Also, I think you have the ability to kill him when you first meet him instead of recruiting him.

I'm going to go all Talimancer and say I don't really care how he will look since he sounds awesome. Or well, reads awesome... ly. I am positive he will sound awesome as well, provided they find a good voice actor and don't botch the voice filter*.

*Though considering the amazing job ME3's sound team has done so far, I don't see this ever becoming a problem.

I do too, but I personally love having squadmates that I idealogically disagree with.  I don't believe in ends justifying the means (Garrus), I don't believe in god and I want to work with aliens (Ash), I like the geth and think the quarians should find a new world to colonize (Tali), I don't believe in souls and we should take responsibility for the bad things we do (Thane), the Code is bullsh*t (Samara), there's more to life than just killing things and being the strongest (Grunt), it's petty to devote your life to revenge (Zaeed), Cerberus are doucheholes (Miranda), it's important to have people in your life that you can trust (Jack), theft is a pretty lousy hobby (Kasumi), the genophage was necessary at the time but an abomination (Mordin), killing for pleasure is disgusting (Morinth), it's pretty dumb to go out and kill for money instead of focusing on rebuiding the krogan empire if that's what you think is killing your people (Wrex), and we don't go all psycho and become a crook to get back at someone (Liara).

Never found myself disagreeing much with Kaidan, Jacob, and Legion, but Legion is an almost strictly logical being and asks questions rather than jumping to conclusions, and Kaidan and Jacob are pretty low on my list of interesting characters.

Disagreement is fun for three reasons:

1. You feel accomplished when you see the character finally change their mind and grow a little.
2. It forces you to double-check your own conclusions and improve yourself.
3. The tension between you and your squadmates makes for more interesting conversations, because god damn it, what a bunch of boring sheep they'd be if all they ever did was agree with you.

This is one of the best post I've ever seen. Its funny cause Legion and Garrus are the only ones I agree with. Like you said Legion is logical and ask questions. I also kind of believe the ends justify the means for the most part. I can also see why Wrex became a mercenary. etc

Well, he thinks of the geth as untrustworthy, soulless machines and at one point, he calls most races too primitive and that the salarians are nothing but lizards that used to eat flies back in his cycle.

And he's throwing half-insults at Liara, because there's a certain part with the asari that he apparently finds too comical to let go.

So, yeah. Bit of an assh*le, but he has his moments.

Seriously, though, I love picking fights with my squadmates.  And with Prothy, I hope Shepard's example proves that the "weak" are worth more than he thinks.

Or he could just stay a douchehole.  Which is fine.  Doucheholes are fun.

I can see the image macro now...  Every time someone says/does something too paragon-y on the forums, someone posts a picture of Prothy scowling: "Weakness."

What does he think about humans and the krogan? I thought he was mean to Liara because of the plagarism thing
