Nope.

For reference, this is the AT-12 Raider.


And this is Javik's weapon.

Hmm... Maybe this is the exclusive gun we are looking at... Perhaps the only "Prothean made" weapon in the game?

But after finding out about his default 'loadout' yesterday, I still think it may be a shotgun.
I still like it's design though for him, though I want to try him out with an SMG/shotgun combo.

Looks a bit like a Phaeston to me.


Problem is, the Phaeston is a a turian weapon.

Also, it bears a striking resemblance to the old Collector Assault Rifle.


This could give weight to the theory that the DLC will feature a flashback to the previous Extinction Cycle.

Default loadout doesn't really mean much anymore. I recall a BW employee (at least, I think that is what he was... whoever it was, he was playing the game) tweeting that he would give Liara a Revenant for his Insanity playthrough. I think that deviating from the preapproved loadout may make recharge times longer or something, but it isn't impossible.

Also, an energy beam doesn't exactly strike me as a shotgun... or a pistol, for that matter.
