I think Javik would look good in Black and gold. Please make a alt appearance for him BioWare.

Anyway, those picture are great, I'm so excited for this DLC! Prothean VS Collector, epic fight!

I wish there was a way to de-modify the Collectors back to Protheans..

Anybody else think that the screenshot with the Prothean gunning down some collectors looks similar to the Raider shotgun?

Nope.

For reference, this is the AT-12 Raider.

And this is Javik's weapon.

Prothean Particle beam that works as an Assault rifle, nice.

Its sad that Javik is the last of his kind, damn it, where is genetic cloning when you need it.

Maybe we get some unlikely allies in ME3.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet, but you can see Shepard using Javik's new gun in this picture.

Ha! Didn't notice that..

I was way too distracted by Javik's epicness..

So I guess that will be the F.A. weapon?

Excellent! :D

Don't get me wrong, though, I've also been enamored by Javik, but I managed to snap out of my trance for just long enough to notice the gun.

Seems like it. Interestingly, as SirDario pointed out, it appears to be similar to the Collector Particle Beam, yet squadmates (or just Javik) can use it. Perhaps it's an alternate assualt rifle that burns through ammo.

I don't believe that Javik is the last Prothean. It's likely that if one survived then others found a way to also. We may not discover it in ME3 but I think more will pop up eventually.

Happy endings fan, aren't you?;)

Btw remember that we can just suppose that he's the last Prothean, as Vigil supposed that those last Prothean scientists died for starvation: no evidence for it, just logical assumption...

With modern genomics where it is today, I don't see why a computer program cannot take his genetic code and randomize the DNA with conservative missence substitutions in order to create pseudogenetic deversity among protheans and then proceed to clone some. The structure is described as a quad helix so I'm sure the mechanics are the same as normal genetics but twofold and can contain twice the genetic material in the same amount of space. In addition, I would assume the base analogs are comparable and that they exhibit the same methods of transcription, translation, packing, and expression. I digress... conservative missense substitutions would conserve protien function while creating genetic diversity among future cloned protheans so that non-homologous mutations cannot occur and unequal crossing over is not an issue.

Maybe we'll find the scientists in stasis in the Citadel's inaccessable core.  :o I can hope at least

My question is... How can a soldier succeed at this where the scientists failed?

Interesting. I don't see why Javik can't simply be cloned either... We can pretty much do all that right now (with a lot of problems involved but still). I guess the problem lies within reproduction. How long could you keep cloning male Protheans for? Unless they could somehow modify a premature Prothean into a female. "Here, reproduce with the female version of yourself! Not weird at all." But that's a stretch.. So I guess my cloning plan is incredibly short term.

I mean assuming that their sex chromosomes are similar to our own that's not exactly a stretch. All it would take is some kind of female protean tissue that is still conserved. As far as a female version of yourself goes, in the sense that the self is defined by experiences I can't say they would have similar personalities based sheerly on genetics. Y'know the whole nature vs. nurture kind of thing? But it's not impossible even now for them to do these things so 200 or so years from now I could definitely see this happening.

Good question, but I think that we will find an answer for this, for sure, cause it's the first or second question that comes up to mind about this DLC..

I don't know if I want to find more Protheans: on one side Javik is the last one of his race and this makes him very cool; I think also he knows that, remember?:
Person: "What are you exactly?"

Prothy: "Prothean."

Person: "Really. And how many of you are left?"

Prothy: "Enough to kill you."

On the other side Javik is so interesting that seems a shame that his race must end with him...

Javik is not a scientist though, he is a soldier. So I am pretty sure he wasn't one of the Protheans on Ilos.
