I kind of think that people in Bioware want it all to end, thus the endings. However if ME3 makes a lot of money then nothing will stop EA from getting lots and lots of sequels. Nothing.
Suddenly, I'm reminded of how
Animorphs ended. Did you ever read those books? They pretty much defined my pre-teen years. But when you hit the last book, you could tell the author was like, "screw you guys, I'm done!"
I think the last few books were ghost-written, actually. Huh. Don't remember.
I just hope they can find a way not to set in stone any specific canon.
They have two options:
1. Set it WAY WAY WAY in the future.
2. Goof around with the rich lore they already have (rachni wars, Shanxi, etc.)
Well, there is a third option (NOT DOING ANY MORE GAMES), but like you said, EA.
I'm hoping for a side-scrolling 2D shooter a la Metroid with Javik as the protagonist.
Shut up, I can dream.
