I know this is about Javik but I dont even like the gameplay all that much in Assassin Creed games, after awhile it becomes same thing different story. What keeps me in the Assassin Creed series is how they woven a fictional character and make him work with how history is written of today and that is what makes me really enjoy the Assassin Creed series. Its probably like the people who buy COD games for the story, I heard those game stories are interesting despite the mechanics being the same through each game. Same mechanic's different story.

I can undestand what you're saying, but I believe in AC3 we will be getting new gameplay etc so it won't be all the same like the previous games. That being said, the Assassin's Creed series is one of my favourite gaming series ever, so I'm excited either way about the new release.

I literally shat my pants when you implied that people are buying CoD for its SP. 

Well why else would you buy it, like i implied its the same crap each game different title lol, but i dont want to go off topic too much with Javik thread. Just wanted to give an examine for why I kept buying Assassin Creed games despite its mechanics always being the same lol.

But Javik will be awesome on both consoles and fear he will be the character that causes our consoles to bite the dust. They just wont be able to handle the awesomeness that comes from Javik lol. 

Ha... I gave up "hoping" PS3 got nice things and switched to Xbox a while ago.. I think they fixed the RROD problem for the most part. As someone who has owned multiple PS3's and 360's over the years.. I think the new Xbox slim model has more reliable hardware than the PS3 one. The only downside I can note is that it doesn't use blu-ray. I never noticed the difference in graphics between the two to be honest. I just find 360 more of a "social" console. But PS3 was very fun for me for a long time.


But anyway.. Uhh yeah Javik stuff. Prothean this and that. From Ashes. Collector's Edition, ect.

A PS3 version is still possible to show up. Not certain it will anytime soon, but I think it's still up in the air for CDPR. At least it is heavily inclined that any future AAA+ title would be available for all three platforms.

I've read all 5 released books and have watched season 1 of the show multiple times. So I don't think I have the willpower not to buy it at this point. 

Fun fact: Bioware considered making a Game of Thrones MMO before they decided with Star Wars. Pretty cool even though I don't play those games. 



On a Javik note: I just read a comment "First Prothean Spectre" and it had me thinking...

Do we know yet wether the gun and costumes from the From Ashes DLC are unlocked automatically, or if Prothy needs to be recruited before we can use them? I really want to use my Particle Rifle as early as possible.

I have no doubt the costumes are unlocked but you need to get the gun on his recruitment mission I bet.

@legion that sounds reasonable, kinda like how we didn't get the Flamethrower from Zaeed's DLC until his mission. I suppose I can just use my Valkyrie, Argus, or Chakram Launcher until I recruit Prothy.

Do we know if the Particle rifle is an AR or HW? I mean it sounds alot like the Collector Particle rifle, if not the same gun.

Well, seeing as Prothy is seen using it, and squaddies can't use HWs, it's likely an AR.

35 minutes long? As much as I would like to have hours and hours of a Javik mission, that's about average, no?

For me, Kasumi and Zaeed's missions took me about 20-30 minutes each, I didn't rush either of them but that was how long they took me. I guess it depends on how you play; some people take 10 minutes on a (main) mission, others take longer.

It took me 25 damn minutes to finish the suicide mission, on insanity.

Even if Kasumi was the same lenght, or 10-15 minutes less, it costed 560MP, not 800.
Maybe Javik will be deeper than Kasumi, but I think that some outfits and a weapon can cannot cost 240MP.

Also, I think I would choose no outfits and an hour 1/2 mission long, than 35 minutes mission and clothes for everyone...
