That's what I'm thinking.  Because like Sebastian, and unlike Zaeed/Kasumi, he's very well written into every scene.

Dunno.  Kasumi/Zaeed reacted TO stuff, but no one ever reacted to them.

But I see what you mean--Prothy not only reacts to things, but he picks fights with other crew members and disrupts the Normandy's established social order.

And by disrupting the order, I mean he uses the wrong bathroom and everyone complains.

True, he's integrated perfectly. But then again, people criticized Zaeed & Kasumi for lack of Normandy dialogues so it was pretty obvious to me their future DLC characters would be better in that regard.

Hopefully not. Not having him as a first-day purchase bonus will greatly limit the the amount of people who obtain and use him, which would be just sad. Everyone deserves a piece of Prothy.

I'm actually kind of hoping he's in the vanilla game myself.  That would make the chances of a batarian teammate increase significantly.

Yeah but c'mon, if there was a batarian squadmate prepared for Day 1 DLC, he would've already been in the leaked script.

Quite.  Whomever eventually becomes the top secret day one DLC character, and whether or not we recieve a second DLC character, they will make an effort to address those problems.

Also, Prothy illicits reactions from others and interacts meaningfully with pretty much everything.  Which is a good thing, because man does he put a different spin on how things are viewed by people (players and characters) from the expected norm.

do you think Prothy is the DLC character?

I think that it is possible that he is, and that it is also possible that he was moved to the vanilla game.

I also think that there was a rumor of a female "the Vigilante" character, who will either be DLC or vanilla.  It all depends on Bioware.

Further, IssacShep, where was that confirmed?  I personally see no reason to believe it is the case or utter falsehood, as we have conflicting information.

The person who originated it claimed it was a "leak" from Xbox World containing story & character reveal and not a single word on multiplayer. It was before multiplayer was confirmed. And when the magazine eventually did come out, it was solely about the multilpayer. I remembered that very well because I made that Xbox World Reveal thread.

Wasn't it a different magazine, though?  Like, a European one?  People just assumed it was Xbox world, hence the confusion.

If it appread in any magazine, we would've known. Nobody ever saw that magazine or scans. Nobody expect that person reported it/confirmed. No news on character reveal, nada. Not a sign of Thane Invictus mission in the script. Conclusion? It was a fat lie.
