I was giggling like a little girl all the way through the drawing process.

It's the first time I drew either of those characters. Okay, that's a lie. I've been making some studies on Javik's amazing face.

Guys, have you seen this teaser for the upcoming animated film? Look at the 14 second mark.

I don't know what to make of the film since I'm not really into anime, but it's supposed to be about James' backstory AFAIK.
What the fudge would a Prothean be doing there? Looks just like Javik, too.
Granted, it's just concept art, it might not even be in the finished thing but it caught my eye.

Just thought I'd share it with you. Is it just a sketch made for whatever reason? I'm not actually worried about them ruining continuity or anything, though. Any thoughts?

I think the Prothean/Collector art is a good indication that they might be showing some kind of From Ashes style prequel timeline in it.. But then again, it's a James Vega anime. I doubt it will be THAT interesting. (No hate intended, but the dude is a primitive.)

Why would you exclude those reasons? No one can resist Javik  

But we know from Liara that the Shadow Broker was looking for prothean data, maybe to find something that would help against the reapers. Javik is able to translate everthing that is written in prothean language and may have additional knowledge where to find more valuable information (colonized planets...)
