Most likely. Though if he has these mouth tentacles like the statues on Ilos suggested, then it may be problematic. Really curious how will he look like. Will they go with the basics of the statues' design, or just not bother with that and design him from scratch?Someone With Mass wrote...
I wonder if he'll get a helmet to use in vacuum like the rest of the squadmates.

Does he have a name? I'm worried because since he's exclusive to the Collector's Edition, how can he have that much importance really?

Without spoiling anything since I haven't read this (trying to stay as spoiler free as possible), will the Prothean squadmate actually have a significant role? Or he will be a smaller side character like Zaeed or Kasumi with no dialogue?

For the name thing I know most of the time they call him Prothean, though I might be wrong. Vega nicknamed him Ian. Also I believe he will have a significant role, at least far bigger than Zaeed or Kasumi.

There is dialogue directed towards deciding on a name for him, or at least, what to call him. He is also ubiquitous throughout the dialogue, always saying something when the others are.

It said "Bonus Character & Mission". And honestly, they would never create a new squadmate just for CE, which probably only like 100,000 people will have.shinobi602 wrote...

Yeah, it's a little stupid to limit him to so few players.

Well the problem is, that if they DONT go with that look they basically retcon the ME1 beacon flashbacks, statues that say "prothean statue" and the codex image from ME2. What kind of idiot would retcon all that when tehy already exist in 2 previous games? I really hope they don't retcon their appearance like this, because that would be goddamn stupid.
Im already kinda worried since some people say that gathered from the script he looks more like a bug with multiple eyes. Those things sitting in statues don't really seem to be bug like.

You see, the Protheans weren't one specific race. They were the faction that claimed the title "Prothean" because they were the strongest faction/race at the time. They could then offer the weaker races a chance to be a part of their empire, and if they reject it, they'd either be left in the dust or destroyed on the spot.

Oh really hmm that is interesting... & I never found that dialogue about chosing his name, guess I better look for it.

Though I have a feeling the Prothean will not appreciate the decorations or Christmas.
I kinda want the option to ask him "don't you ever smile?", you know for old time's sake and for a sten reference!

To be fair, the statues on Ilos could very well be another Prothean race or the race that was the predecessor to the one the Reapers wiped out.

Maybe, I tought of the same after reading the leaks. Prothy mentions about a couple of races from his cyle like the Zha and the Oravores. Prothy also says a race called the Inusannon inhabited Ilos before them. Maybe the Inusannon were the tentacle headed ones.Tough the beacon does show the same tentacle faced beings, so it might be untrue. But why put that image in if they are just going to change it? Even the ME2 beacon shows the same prothean things being turned into collectors.
Hmm... kinda odd. Maybe the prothean race that was dominant and was made into the collectors, really did somewhat resemble a collector. Hopefully this will be explained, if they decide to show Prothy as a "bug", since it's the writers job to fill in the gaps, not the fans. ME3 might really change the prothean wiki entry in ME wikia.
It's hard to make sense of this until March when we will finally get to see Prothy.

There's one part where he describes a machine race that's not so different from the geth that existed during the Prothean cycle that also rebelled on their creators and started to bring trouble.
The Protheans made their sun go supernova.
So Prothy is basically Marvin Martian huh?

Oh I'm going to blow it up. It obstructs my view of Venus.

I can't find the specific thread, but wasn't that a name mentioned in that strange "Reaper/Indoctrinated" poem that was cut from ME2 and found through data-mining the game?armass wrote...

Edit: Found the poem and nope, wrong name, so never mind I guess.
