The usage of the Collector armor in that scene simply works on so many unfathomably awesome levels.
LOL Never thought about that, but you're right!

I didn't play the Extended Cut yet so how does the new flashback sequence work and how different is it from the original?Our_Last_Scene wrote...
I'm pretty sure Javik is gonna appear in my current Shepards flashes because I use him so much.
How many flashes are there? Is it possible to avoid Joker?
Do ME2 squadmates also appear?

Personally I think it poses to show the Reapers dont Cleanse the Galaxy as well as the impression they give us since their Creators are still alive to this day.

I kind of wish he was a LI. I would not mind at all if Javik rewarded Shepard with a reproductive ritual.

Sorry to disappoint, but he's not insectoid. The Collectors are, yes, but they only retain a minute amount of the original prothean DNA. Almost their entire anatomy is Reaper tech, so it is not a stretch to believe that their insectoid traits stem from that tech. If not, they could have been spliced in from another contemporary species that was part of the prothean empire, not unlike how turians and krogan were spliced into the brute.Eyil wrote...
I love Javik. He's my big, angry, insectoid baby.
To clarify, inspecting Javik up close reveals a whole bunch of anatomical features that insects do not and cannot have. For example, he has skin, nails, mammalian lips, eyelids, an endoskeleton, all features universal to mammals and a few select non-mammal species (but never insects).
It is suggested that his head-crest-thingy is composed of chitin, a substance found in insect exoskeletons, but it is almost certainly keratin, which is what the scutes on turtle shells and the natural armor of reptiles like crocodiles are made of. It could also be hardened leather, similar to the natural armor of armadillos and rhinos.
Deep down, I just know that he's got Primitive Fever. He won't admit it, but he does.Eyil wrote...

Why Javik is the best squadmate ever.

I think it's about time to unfreeze this thread and welcome the dawn of a new cycle.

Ahhh, I still remember when people were up in arms about the inclusion of a Prothean character non-critical to the game's plot.
Fun times.
That said, while I love Javik's dialog and character, I find him to be underwhelming in terms of actual gameplay.
- Dark Channel doesn't do nearly the damage I expected it to (SP vs. MP)
- Having both Pull and Slam feels redundant as hell.
- Lift Grenades are nice but Liaran gets a 4 or less second cooldown on Singularity
But those aside, Javik is amazingly tanky for a Biotic character. He just suffers from having no cooldown bonuses aside from his outfit and a lackluster toolkit.

That is what I though, until I found out Slam doesn't remove shields.
Pull's CD is also shorter, but who cares? Slam is awesome, especially if detonated with Lash On a different forum section we just established you can do double biotic explosions when using slam and lash in concordance.

Wait what? How does that work exactly???
Also I just finished Citadel and did the Armax Arena for the Cerberus Armor. Inferno Ammo with the r6 mini-explosion upgrade and the Particle Rifle is nuts. Gunna do the party soon. I'm remembering how much I love Javik.

You do slam on the target, detonate it with lash, which somehow primes the target afterwards and then when the slam animation finishes (i.e. target hits the ground) the lash detonates. If the target doesn't die from the first detonation, that is.
This is obviously a bug btw, because after detonation a power shouldn't prime.

The power is great.
You can detonate 2 fire explosions at once with Slam. You can also detonate 1 fire and 1 cryo explosion at the same time.

Slam is actually a decent ability to set up biotic explosions.
Also, even without biotic abilities Javik pretty much owns with the particle rifle.

I like javik's overall view on things, although I hate his extreme personality, its too cliche in fiction, and I would not baby some one like that in real life, I would make him/her fall in line, which I do.
javik would be a better character if given a more balanced personality, still has the extreme views on war etc, only he smiles, laugh jokes when he get comfortable with shepard in a short time.
Even better if shepard were a romance for both male and female shepard, I love javik's African like voice, and he has an attractive humanoid shape, and I love the shape of a prothean's head.
A thing annoying most aliens is the have 3 fingers and 3 toes, which is impratical and cliche at least 4 fingers including thumbs and toes would be better.
I believe EA is responsible for not allowing Biware to fully make mass Effect 3 the way it should have been, especially Javik, I like the cutscenes where javik injects himself in main story ines, especially on Thesia, where he inspires the Asari to fight.

Best troll in the game.My fav charachter.
Well except Liara cuz Im Liaramaniac. ![]()
Tali: So, you’re a real living Prothean?
Javik: As opposed to a fake dead one?
Tali: Uh… okay.
Javik: Your “Liara” asari asks many questions. You would think she’d never seen a prothean before.
Javik: This has been… amusing.
Shepard: Oh?
Javik: To discover the most primitive races of my time now rule the galaxy. The asari, the humans, the turians…
Liara: There’s also the salarians.
Javik: The lizard people evolved?
Liara: I believe they are amphibian.
Javik: They used to eat flies.
Liara O_o
Javik: Did I mention salarians used to lick their eyes? How far they have come.

Does anyone have a PC save game just before Javik's "romance" scene in Citadel DLC?
I played the Citadel DLC and I was disappointed that my Shepard couldn't "romance" Javik after the Party, since she had romantic interactions with Thane (she woke up alone in the bed). Does anyone have a PC save game file just before the Party or before the Photo? I was thinking in adding my Shepard's face with the Save Editor and watching the scene.
I have every DLC, so any save file should work. Preferably, she should have a custom face (any) and the other characters from ME2 should be alive.
If someone could upload the file for me I'd be very grateful!
