I also still think Prothy is DLC, partly because I can't imagine who the DLC character could be if it wasn't him.

Batarian squadmate?

A batarian would probably be too much like Prothy though, in that he'd be the "badass" of the team. I can't really see it happening.

I'm hoping Prothy doesn't get shafted into being DLC. He seems too well integrated with sequences and other characters to be the typical irrelevant Kasumi/Zaeed type of character. A Batarian would be nice, as long as he doesn't end up being a badass steryotype, or the antithesis of that steryotype by being a kind, peaceful sentinel who loves poetry.

He'd be Prothy's b***h right from the start.

Oh and he is a DLC.

His mission has little connection with the main plot and he has nothing better to come with than being another squadmate to assign certain things to, like disabling AA guns.

Just because Zaeed and Kasumi were different in ME2 doesn't mean the Prothean is going to be the same.

Well, I like to think that a living Prothean is too large of a development to be DLC. He may lack plot importance, but his historical significance is astronomical. Also, I don't think that BW would make everyone without Internet for their consoles or those who get their games later miss out.

I think he'll be a free DLC for new copies like Zaeed.

Did you miss my post on the previous page, Mass?

"Yes, the bonus character and mission DLC will be sold separately for people who didn't get the CE."

"We should probably chat about when we can start providing some interesting details on this :) people are gonna be stoked."

People DID criticize Zaeed & Kasumi for being "half-asses"/incomplete squadmates so frankly, it would only make sense to me the DLC character in ME3 would be far better integrated. BioWare DOES listen to alot of criticism and changes things based on it (when they can)

Well, I'm sure, that too much rage would emerge, if Prothy's interaction would resemble Kasumi's or Zaeed ones. Although I didn't mind Zaeed that much, cause his stories were cool. Kasumi is quite a fail charachter imho though.

I don't really get why they chose to make Prothy a DLC character(If he is). I mean they have to start marketing him somehow soon-ish and I would've thought an actual alive Prothean for your squad would have been better coming as a suprise.

I agree with prothy should be in the main game not DLC, i mean why would you make one of the most interesting characters then have them unavailable to alot of people, now for the DLC squad mate hmmm people have noted there is no krogan, so im really hoping for thax's assistant! how good would that be lol have a pleasant day.

Umm, isn't the Mars mission a main part of the game? I mean disabling the bot and uploading EDI into Eva (EDI, ai from the moon we fought in me1)

AFAIK - She doesnt play that big of a role in the game. While Prothy is more needed for Prothean stuff.

And on Mars we fight Fembot. (Script name) And we will meet her troughout the whole game. So hijacking her body at the start is imposssible

(By the way, wouldn't it be cute if said body looked like Wall-E's Eva?) =D

You did read this thread, right? (which is a paraphrase version of a Game Informer article on its writer playing the first 6 hours of the game, including the Mars mission)

After that, you learn that Cerberus had one of its own on the research staff, a woman named Eva, and she's been using this time to grab the data and she starts transmitting it.  There's a chase sequence and it turns out she's been cybernetically enhanced (and heavily so from the sound of it).  You chase her and she makes it her shuttle, but Vega saves the day by smashing into it with some kind of vehicle (article doesn't specify). This has the side-effect of wrecking the comm gear she had on her.  Unfortunately, it doesn't kill her, and she attacks Kaidan, nearly killing him. Shep takes her down for good, and it's off to the Citadel.

Fembot will be troughout the game (Thanks Scripty).

This is from the script. Whatever the writer saw, isnt the ultimate truth :)

I have to ask, which script did you pull the quote about the fembot from? The rough script, or the .tlk files?

As for the DLC dispute, does anyone remember "the Vigilante"? Stop me if this rumor has been laid to rest, but there has been a VA hired to play the role of a character with that title in ME3. Now, as a script junkie, I have not seen a single mention of this character. My theory is that she will be the DLC character, and possibly the Female Turian everyone has been pining for (pure speculation on the FemTurian thing, though. It's more of a gut feeling.)

I don`t think we`re getting a FemTurian. No more than one of each species (except human)<_< seems to be the ME rule.

So what the writer of Game Informer saw and played through... his experience with the first 6 or so hours of the finished game (minus the EDI+Eva reveal, for obvious reasons).... isn't the "ultimate truth"?
:?
<_<
.... Yeah, I don't buy that for a bloody second.

I agree. Besides, the Fembot was only a large character in the rough-build leak (also commonly referred to as the "old script") which has been almost universally dismissed after the revelation of the full script leak. So... Yeah, generally unlikely that the Fembot sequence will play out differently than what was presented to GI.

Well, lets say that there can be plot turns.

Old Script - maybe (!). Dang, how many scripts are there? And how old is this old script?
