One thing about mechanical constraints in gaming; its all about how you use your engine. We cheat all the time to get the most out of them; replicating assets, manipulating depth of field, etc. The fact that there isn't moving hair in Mass Effect is due to either laziness, or time that was not managed well. More likely, both. And besides, they wouldn't need to make the tentacles move anyway, Bioware has already proven they don't care. Look at Miranda or Ashley's hair; it should move, but it doesn't. So Prothean tentacles is a non-issue.
You keep referring to Mass Effect as being merely a "Game," like that somehow prevents it from being complex. That it "Has," to be straight-forward and linear in its design philosophy. Ever play the Metal Gear series? It doesn't. Nassana Dantius was renegade, was she scarred and scary looking? No. Besides, Cthulhu is pretty damn renegade, and he notoriously has tentacles.
And once again, we have never, ever, in any way shape or form, been told that the Prothean Empire was divided into castes, yet you keep talking about it like its canon. You have no reason to say that the Ilos scientists were a race "Designated," to do anything; because the idea of castes is never present. Ever.
He "Has," to be a "Warfolk," because his race conquered the galaxy? Really? So if humans conquered the galaxy, then we'd all be "Warfolk?" That makes no sense; not everyone of a given race has to agree with their leaders, and its absolutely bizarre to think that entire race of people could only do one thing proficiently. The True Protheans won the galaxy through their technology, they were both warriors and scientists, just like human. Soldiers, and Techies, same species, different methods. Nothing to do with species specific castes.
Incomplete information? I've given several facts (That you even say make sense.) To support the theory that Prothy is a lanky, tentacled faced Ilos Statue look-a-like. All based on very complete information. (Beacons, visions, statues, etc.)
Besides, think about it: Because the Prothean empire did include many different races, its highly illogical to assume that all the Collectors we fought were from one race. If that's the case, then the Collector-look could never be an indication of how the Protheans actually looked, because all the Collectors looks the same, despite possibly being from different species.
So again; while there is absolutely no information that supports a "Caste," theory, but there is a fair amount that screams "Prothy has tentacles."

Or maybe he's just the strong silent type. The very strong silent type. Who glares. Or writes in the air with his tentacles.

Shepard is in the awkward situation of only being capable of understanding the Prothean language, but not being able to speak it.

I guess it'll be awkward for all species facing a real Prothean xD Especially when they try to reason with him during his "rescue" mission. lol
Guy: What are you supposed to be? Turian? Drell?
Prothy: Prothean.
Guy: Ha-ha, very funny. Seriously, what are you?
Prothy: Prothean.

Or this:
Guy: Are you a real Prothean?
Prothy: Yes, I am.
Guy: Wow, that's awesome! Can I have your autograph? Just to prove that I met you?
Prothy: Of course. Here.
Guy: P? But, what if people mistake it for someone else? It's that your name?
Prothy: How many Protheans do you know?
Guy: Well, only you, but--
Prothy: Then there will not be any mistakes.

Yep that the point. Anyway my theory is it that the prothean have been dead for 50000 yearsArcian wrote...

and to find one in cryo stasis would be extremely difficulted and since the collector's are
prothean why not make one your squadmate, They were introduced in me2 more recently and putting one in
cryo stasis is more likely.

You mean aside from the fact that it makes no sense?
Sorry, but the Collectors are not Protheans, they were Protheans. Collectors are mindless machines with organic bodies, good for performing the simple tasks the Reapers designed them for and little else.
Add to that, that there's no reason why one would be in cryo stasis; because we presumably killed all of them.

If you gave the ellusive man the collector base maybe they have kept a live collector in cryo stasis so they
can studie it, It may not be that but just think about the possibilities.

That might have worked, if it weren't for the fact that we completely wiped out everything inside the Base with that explosion. Even if you give it to TIM, there's still no way any living thing survived, that's kinda why he sent you there in the first place; to keep the technology, but destroy all the Collectors.
Besides, there's still the issue that Collectors are brainless; in other words, one could never be a squadmate, its quite literally impossible, unless you found a way to reprogram one, in which case it would be little more than a robot.
Not to mention that Prothy's a DLC character, which means he's around regadless of what you did to the Base.
I understand thinking outside the box, but come one; let's try to remember what actually happens in the game too.

I didn't necessarily mean if you gave ellusive man the base, but what if someone else captured one and reprogram it in some way or something. I'm running out idea's but i still think it would be a great idea to have collector squadmate.BentOrgy wrote...

I support the idea that the Collectors may have been modeled after Harbinger's species. It gives him a near tragic-ness that I like. Using the Protheans as nothing but catalysts so that he could see his people thriving again, and even be one for a while. Maybe even each Collector is controlled by a single program from him.
+1 theory support.
