I have no idea what your "Calculations," are suppose to prove, if anything, it proves my theory; because I doubt the Reapers cared which race they took, if they were simply going to redesign them.

Like you saying that we have reason to believe that the Collector look is any indication that Protheans looked that way, I telling you very clearly why we cannot, and you then saying we can.... And again, the script is incomplete, and offers nothing except those two lines to address how Prothy looks, so no, sorry; it doesn't "Kill," anything. It merely means he has more than two eyes, which as I've said, could still be linked to the Ilos Statues; because if you actually look at them, they have tubes coming out of their eyes, and I doubt those were natural, and we also have the visions, in which case the eyes are darkened out holes, meaning there could be eyes we can't see clearly.

EDIT: Lol, impossible, despite your theory being about as sound as Zulu's "Vigil lied to us!"

You can compare the two shots here: Notice how the nose in both pictures are both short, almost snout-like, and seems to be connected directly to the forhead. Notice also the tubes running out from below the primary eyes, and the marks the run above them, curving alone the skull.

Does that "goddmamit," mean you're feeling a little silly now?

As I said, the Ilos statues have no  eyes, they have tubes coming out of them; which means seeing how many eyes they actually have is a little difficult. And if you mean the picture I posted, its obviosusly something of a husk, so you can't really consider it a prime example either; remember; human husks have what looks like a third "Eye," beneath their actual ones, so for all we know, the "Prothean Husk," from the codex page could simply have its secondary eyes "Turned off." Which is why I always supported the "We can't really see their eyes in ME1, so its possible they really do have four eyes," theory. You also cannot deny the obvious similarities that I've kindly listed for you, between the comic and the statues.

You're staring at something that was considered canon enough by Bioware, that they put in their game. Darkhorse might be full of second-rate artists, but their work always emulates what we seen in the games. Wrex's face might be flat and.... Odd looking, but its still underniably Wrex.
Case in point: its canon until officially stated otherwise. So much for being "Impossible."

They could be 4 eyed illithids still. Statue doesnt clearly show how many eyes that thing has. Second pair of eyes could be small or hidden. Anyways, we will see what prothy looks like in 6 weeks. Quite exciting actually.

In fact, the prothean husk image is just the features of a human husk transposed on the Ilos statues.

Is it really? Huh, can't believe I missed that. You can even see the little extra "Eye," that I referred to in my post.

Personally, I'm more excited to see how Desmond will save the world, who'll be his third ancestor protagonist, in which historical era said protagonist will be and how he/she will possibly be able to upstage the magnificence and awesomeness that was Ezio Auditore.

But that's just me.

I'm thinking we're going to China; we've seen symbols resembling pagoda ever since AC1 with 16's doodles at Absergo, then there's Shao Jun in Embers, and Altair's son going to party with the mongols.

So I'm also thinking that it might be Desmond's ancestor from Altair's side again. No idea how he/she will upstage Ezio though. Kung Fu?

He's way tougher than a krogan, that's for sure.

I was in fact yesterday trying to convince somebody I know (who hasn't read the script himself) that Prothy was basically the new Wrex, and just as badass and awesome. He was dubious, but I think that come March, he'll see that it is in fact true.

Not to continue with the offtopic/ Ubisoft talk but I still need to finish Revelations lol. Ive been slacking off with my games since i got Skyrim and since i play on the PS3 i finally got tired of its BS problems recently.


Now back to the topic at hand people who think Prothy will resemble anything close to the Collectors are dead wrong. I remember EDI stating they had been dramatically repurposed that the Prothean DNA they did have couldnt even be used to turn them back to what they were before becoming Collectors type deal. I could be a bit off but I clearly remember EDI stating the original Prothean DNA was so twisted and repurposed by the Reapers.

Well, it IS difficult to discount "Buggy" and "...with more eyes." There will be a link between Prothy and the Collectors, just due to the presence of multiple eyes and an insectoid appearance, but I think that is where the similarities end. The good thing about the Protheans is that we never really got a good look at them. Their forms were fleeting in the beacons, and the statues lacked any intricate detail. The fact that they have a lanky Cthulu face with no details as a springboard means they are able to take liberties in the design. It is becoming exceedingly more likely that a middle ground has been reached to satisfy the fans of both designs.

Also, in order to cease beating a dead horse, how do you guys intend to utilize Prothy? I intend to go full shotgun with my Sentinel and James (seeing as all classes can now carry any weapon type).

I also intend to also go full shotgun; with Vanguard Shep and Tali. It'll be like my "Team Shotgun" from ME1 all over again, only with Prothy subbed in for Wrex.

Patrick Weekes has been tweeting about giving Liara a Revenant for his Insanity run. So...probably not restricted?

I think it's just by weight for them too.

I would assume Prothy uses shotguns; he seems the type. If it turns out he doesn't, I will be very depressed that my "Team Shotgun" plan remains unrealized (Tali/Vega just wouldn't be the same).

And yes, Prothy does seem to be a boomstick kind of fellow, served with a side of daka daka daka.

He's like Wrex and Samara at the same time. Best squadmate or best squadmate?
