Is it just me or does she seem a little bit bland? I've been wrong numerous times though, so it will probably change with proper lighting and movement. Still wouldn't hurt to give her some cool cybernetics. They say Metropolis served as inspiration? I don't see that at all.
I have to agree with Cheez that the "hair" is mostly what feel's off about her design, but I also think they should given her more machine-like qualities.

Enough derailing for today though!
Prothean, guide us to victory against the reapers and I will guide you to the men's room.

This is the BSN, I would have thought something amiss if people didn't start fangirling over the Prothean upon first official glance. You're quite fine!

As for me, I don't care. Screw the haters. I might be the only one posting in it but as soon as I'm reasonably able, I'll be starting an EDI fan group for good and all. And by all I mean me. Because I'm the only who that seems to really dig the new 'do.

As for his design itself? I absolutely love it - the regal and harden face, the definite indication that this creature was the biological predecessor to the Collectors, the armor that's clearly from an age long past - damn near everything is perfectly in tune with what a Prothean should represent. 


I'm also kinda glad that EDI's body is a definite "android" and not some faux-human "Terminator" blonde bimbo, that she actually "looks" artifical and not like a real human woman (if that makes any sense).

I would like to shamefully submit that I think that EDI is really, really cute.  I'm frustrated by the intentional sexification, but I do actually like the final design (apart from the hair which will hopefully look better in-game).

Yeah, I could have done without some of the, erm, focused features going on there. A couple of the sketches look much worse though -- one in particular managed to make a chromatic synthetic appear to be wearing a leotard. I was impressed, I'll admit, but I would have been raging pretty hard about it.

The general facial design and the color scheme and the avoiding-making-her-look-like-a-complete-bimbo is all wonderful though, and I've always been a big EDI fan so... yeah, I'm pretty satisfied.

Her body reminds me of some of FemShep's armor in some way. The hair thing looks odd, but it's probably something that'll look different in the game as most things do.

Prothy provides some really cool concepts for AA packs as well.

I think that's for the best. I don't think the mods would appreciate it either, considering that we're breaking the street date of the art book by almost a month.
