LtIberious dude let it go. It's like attempting to "debate" with someone with different political views. You can outlogic them until you're blue in the face but they'll still harp on their views. Let it go ain't worth getting your blood pressure up.

Don't worry :) I'm having fun from arguements with people of his type, as long as they don't resort to insults.

Though for the sake of the thread this should be stopped. :)

Yeah, let's go back to questions about Prothy, like the one I posted earlier:

Why does he use the ladies' room anyway? Is it explained in any form, or it's just that one line, for fun? (I haven't read the full script, but I'd really like to know this)

Hell shall break loose shortly.

For Prothy has been confirmed, and people shall be looking for a place to put their poo... thoughts on him. And we are the only possible and stable place that gives them that possibility.

Im gonna miss the times when this thread was a support thread for a mythical char. :) The whole feel of discussing something "Secret"

@Tiberious.

*Sigh*

The insult (Singular) was borne from my increased lack of patience due to your unending babble.

Yes, its a game. One that established early on the importance of the Statues and their appearance, to the point where they appeared even after ME2 was released. You inability to accept this blatant fact is not my fault, but your own unwillingness to see something that contradicts your illogical beliefs.

What is "renegadish," is subjective and completely irrelevant, as I've said, Cthulhu is quite the renegade, and renders your theory moot. As for the subject to change, its true, but it doesn't make the fact that they've completely failed to respect the continuity they created any better. And again, you've not once provided any reason why the Collector look is more appropriate than the Ilos Statue. Why? Because there simply isn't one. Until the release of the leaked script, there wasn't so much as a passing idea in game or anywhere else that hinted that the Protheans were Collector-esque, but we had ample reason to believe in the tentacle theory. Still do even now, until Bioware explains why they always put so much emphasis on the Statues themselves.

So, widen the mind? Look in a mirror.

This whole discussion about professions is highly irrelevant to this discussion, and I fail to see why you brought this Chemistry major up, That's supposing its true at all. In my profession, we work with and at industry standard everyday, and know nearly as much as those at companies like Bioware, Ubisoft, LucasArts, etc. And on the subject of the hair/tentacles debate, I've already provided ample reason why it can be done, and how it can. I never said it would be easy, but its certainly not difficult; an extra day of work at most. What the hell do you know of our industry anway? Nothing, at the very least, not nearly as much as I do.

Seeing as I was directly discussing points you made, none of my "Information," was "Irrelevant," unless you're saying that your own points were.

But its true, this has gone on far enough, which is why I once asked you to PM me if you wanted to continue. I suppose I could have, but that's moot point now. You're theories still offer little logical sense, because you never once defended them beyond "This is what I think," and never "And here's why, and here's how it fits into the established story."

And I'm not surprised people don't understand you; because they, like myself, probably can't make sense of *Non*sense.

@Ironfist: Fun name, for one, and secondly; I hope you're not implying that my reasons are in anyway inferior to his, considering, if you actually take a look at our.... "Debate," you'll see he's never once come up with a solid reason for his theories, and as always backpeddled into essentially, "Well.... Because your theory's stupid!"

Oh. Ok. That's what I thought.

My mind went wild there for a second, thinking that maybe the Protheans could have been a monogendered race... Like the Asari, but you know, with dudes. And a part of me giggled.

But it's cool, I know it's all wishful thinking and stuff. Can't help it sometimes.

Bent, I honestly don't think that logical arguments are going to be very effective in this situation, let me give this a whirl. Ahem...

Bug shells on the head are not renegadish. Collector eyes are hard to animate. An Ilos Prothean would be much easier to make.

An interesting note on Prothy's appearance:

We have a vision in ME2 that is essentially the same as the visions in ME1, (Dramatically shorter, but meh.) and still shows the Ilos Statue design. They even photoshopped (Rather clumsily, but again, meh.) in a Collector torso to illustrate how the Protheans were redesigned into the bug-men we fought throughout the game.

Case in point: Bioware still used the Ilos Statue appearance to visually refer to the Protheans, even after the Collectors had been established, and their connection created, its still a clear "This is what the Protheans looked like," video to me.

@Volc: :P

Telling me to essentially "Calm down," is not needed; while I am irritated that this has gone on for so long, I'm nowhere as bad as those raving right-wing censorship fanatics.

I thinks its fairly logical to try and defend your logic in the face of something that would tear it down so easily, without giving any actual reasons why.

Many pages ago we talked about his recruitment mission. It mentioned him tearing apart the facility during his escape. Now what kind of biotic is this fellow? Jack-like with massive displays of power and little control, or more cold and calculated like Samara?

I think its going to be a mix really; he's a seasoned soldier, and considering how the Protheans always seemed so "In control," I would think that any Jack like rage would be tempered.

EDIT: Thank you for kind of understanding where I'm coming from. Its done, or it should be.

Maybe abit of both i mean he was frozen for a long time so it could start like massive displays of power and little control  and  the longer he is awake he will be more like Samara with his power use?

Now I got the impression from this discussion he did pull a Jack-style breakout. Mind you it seems he had a rude awakening and believed the reapers where after him. Though his dialogue on the ship suggests someone deeply intune with his power/energies. He does seem to be cool underfire 90% of the time, but is willing to bring the roof down if he really feels threatened. If there where to be a biotic scale with Jack and Samara as polar opposites of extremes I think Prothy would be in the center.

@Gormark He's very well controlled, but is still very powerful. Think Jack, if she was as collected as Samara, and also a fifty thousand year old man dressed like a high tech samurai.

High-tech samurai race, that builds pyramids, set themselves up as gods, and powerful biotics? I have the weirdest nerd boner right now.

I agree Durgon, being awakened after 50,000 years with strange looking scientists poking your cage couldn't have been fun, but as we've both said, he does seem very level headed otherwise.

Its just making me wonder about his voice even more now. I hope they don't make him sound like a cliché soldier type; a deep, rusty voice like a krogan or something. I'd like something that conveys power, but also dignity, because I always imagined the Protheans as being stern, yet sophisticated, and his armor sets seem to hint at that too.
