I would prefer it if the portrayals of the races was consistent. We've seen several Prothean statues and the visions and they look nothing like the Prothean squadmate.

Did Collectors look anything like Prothenas? No, but so what? They were heavily modified by the Reapers anyway. (and it was a lousy twist that had no real effect on anything)

EM sorry to correct you but the protheans where made up of many different species.They didn't retcon anything our prothy is just one member of many species of prothean the chutulu protheans most likely existed aswell as a separate prothean species.

I bet they'd be called racist/enforcing stereotypes like george lucas was (Pretty rightfully)with his asian stereotyped aliens if they gave him an accent like what I'm thinking.
