It requires a voice filter too, like with we have with Garrus for example.
I guess then it could work with George Takei.

I would cream my pants if this were the case, as I loved the sh!t out of the Arishok's voice in DA2. However, maybe they shouldn't start typecasting him as the warrior leader guy who hails from a highly militant species that conquered and converted a number of species to their culture.Silentblaze wrote...

From what I read in the leaks protheans seem to be space qunari. Prothy, also, was to the leader of a group that was to hibernate in stasis until the next cycle by founding a new prothean empire to combat the reapers when they returned.

Prothy: [looking at a bobblehead of Harbinger, Prothy flicks it] Boom, warpshot.
Prothy: [splash text: Meet the Prothean, Prothy is driving a Mako] Vengeance's a good job, mate! It's challenging work, out-of-doors... I guarantee you'll not go hungry, 'cause at the end of the day, as long as there are Reapers left in the galaxy, someone is gonna want them dead.
Prothy: [on the phone] Commander? Commander I'm- … y- … Not a crazed gunman, Shepard, I'm an avenger! Well, the difference being one's a duty, and the other's mental sickness! [to audience] I'll be honest with you— my new boss... do not care for it.
Prothy: [hiding in a bunch of bushes, looking over them to observe some Cerberus troopers nearby] I think his mate saw me... [bullets whizzes past Prothy's head, Prothy ducks] Yes, yes he did!
Prothy: Feelings?! Look, mate, you know who has a lot of feelings? Blokes who turn tail and sell themselves to the Reapers when they hit upon trouble. Professionals have standards: Be polite. Be efficient. Never give up. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
Prothy: Shepard, Shep... put- [sighs] put Liara on the phone!

It's a pity that the Prothean still has that bug-like appearance.
I've heard this before, but really? He has four eyes and that's it. If he had a pincer-mouth, compound eyes or a proboscis for a mouth, then THAT would be one hell of a bug-like look.
Hmm, of course, now that I think about it... Do you guys think he looks like a collector under that armor? I mean, remember the secondary insect limbs they had in their torso? You guys think Prothy has those?

I wish they would get rid of those extra two eyes.

It could work. The character sounds like he's supposed to be sarcastic/funny, so with a voice filter... Maybe.
George Takei can act, he's just kind of ... devolved into camp.

True enough! It's practically the ONLY reason I hate EDI's new body. Having Tricia Helfer casted as another sexy robot chick is hopefully not the final nail in the typecast coffin for her.
Still I can't get the idea outta my head of Prothy's "calibrations" filler line being: "Panahedan Shepard... I hope you don't die."

Typecasting! Yay!
Anyway, I actually hope EDI doesn't look anything like Ms. Helfer. She is pretty, and I love her voice, but I don't see EDI as quite so angular.

Jamieson Price
(plays LordGenome, the first character that speaks at the current timeline of the video)
