I was wondering if I could get some help with this little mystery of mine. Buying and playing Legacy, I can't type out names for my save files or to name my characters. I get to 2 - 3 letters before it abruptly stops typing and won't let me do anything else. This was never a problem before Legacy but then again I didn't play DA2 for perhaps a month before Legacy came out. I wouldn't care so much if I weren't trying to create a new character. Help please?

Specs of machine and do you have/have you installed anything like comcast defense or any kind of key logging program recently. There are several suites of programs that are provided by corporations that can cause issues with keyboards and games. Otherwise specs of machine and someone will give a thought.

I'm nor exactly sure what kind of specs you need/mean but it's an HP Laptop with an Intel Core processor, DirectX11, ATI Mobility Radeon Graphics card. I didn't install anything that would have issues with my Dragon Age 2, and my Mass Effect 2 PC game doesn't have any issues like that, so I'm not really sure what the problem is. ><; If you need any more kind of specs or anything, can you let me know what specifically I should put? Thank you.

There is a pinned thread at the top of this forum with the tech forum reporting format. It has directions on how to find all the pieces of information. Someone is bound to point out that mobile graphics cards are not supported. They aren't because they generally won't run the game well.
That said, if this is a new problem, it probably isn't your graphics card. Anything you may have installed, even if you don't think it could have caused the problem, might have caused the problem. ME2 and DA run on different engines entirely, so one running well doesn't say anything about the other's behavior.

Does the keyboard stop but the mouse curser still work?
Does it lock the game up?
Does it lock the computer up?
Can you alt/tab out and have the keyboard work?
Have you installed ANY anti-virus programs, web defender programs, or program suites in the last month?
