The old FPS shooters just mirrored the right handed guys weapons. The port where shells were ejected would flip when you changed hands. So would bolts.

I'm not saying its impossible, just impractical. A lot of work to please 10-20 percent. But so Is gay rights and its working in some places so maybe!

Also, I think I may be a dyslexic lefty. I drove past a sign that said Fridays are hat days and I swore to god it said free hot dogs! I didn't realize until I drove by again on my way back.

Wow, well ignoring all the trolling and derailing that has taken place in the previous few pages, I'd actually like a left handed option for Shepard, though it seems like such a minor thing that will likely never get featured.

The left handed feature wouldn't really help me gameplay-wise if it means the camera will be over the other shoulder since my right eye is dominant. I'm just used to having my tool be in my left hand, which obscures the left side of my vision, which means my right eye sees better. This plays into video games as because of this, I'm better at third person shooters than I am at first person ones because of the screen display.

BUT, it would be cool to see Shepard shooting stuff with his left hand in a cutscene. And having the camera over his right shoulder while he still shot with his left hand would be nice. Likely won't happen since we're such a minority and it's such a minor thing to add that it's not really worth paying any attention towards, but oh well.

Also: the only left-handed video game character I can think of is Link from The Legend of Zelda.

While we're on the subject - I write left handed but naturally do almost everything else e.g. sports right handed. Does this make me left or right handed? Anyone else out there like me or am I a freak?

Well, I've got that problem with doing somethings with one hand and others with the other, at least I can't help it.



And, I raised the dominant eye earlier, because that would be the most important factor for a soldier / marine firing a weapon. Especially one who gets special training like Shepard.
And I don't care that weapons have smart targeting related to this issue!

That makes sense to me. After a quick test I am right eye dominant and would fire a gun right handed. That said I would throw a ball left handed and kick a football right footed! Help this is getting complicated....

Another lefty here.  My Shepard is left-handed even if he fires his weapons with his right.

I fire a weapon left handed because it is the most natural position for me. Probably because im a left handed batter. Im used to my right shoulder facing my oponent.

As for eye dominence, it really doesnt matter. A good soldier doesnt close one eye while scoped. One eye in the cross hairs the other loking down range. You tunnel yourself when looking through a scope.

As for weapons being off limits because we cant fire them, thats not true. You just have to adapt. Ar's are amb. Anyway. Its just fascist righties tryin to keep a lefthanded brother down.
