Lets face it, Tali is loyal, selfless, and smart. That and I can't wait to hear Tali's shock at being picked over an Asari. XP
I KNOW RIGHT? they are so alike it's ridiculous
Liara or Tali?

But with LotSB Liara has a much better romance.

considering she risked her life to do that, yeah I consider that selfless. Or the fact that if you are romancing someone else in ME2 despite romancing her in ME1 she's willing to let you go, yeah I consider that selfless.KawaiiKatie wrote...

*eyeroll*
Yeah, handing Shepard's body over to terrorists instead of the Alliance because she "couldn't let you go" was really selfless.

Tali basically matured a bit. She starts cursing (she doesn't in ME1). She's hopelessly nervous with relationships still, but not only is she there for Shepard, but Shepard is also there for her... Tali's plight in the trial is just about the most heart-wrenching thing for her to deal with...
Liara broke after Shepard's death. Chasing down and recovering his body, becoming an information broker, turning on a hunt for vengeance with Feron's disappearance. Lair of the Shadow Broker suggests that she's recovered from that somewhat, but still... Her need for vengeance on the Shadow Broker keeping her off the SR-2 wasn't a good sign for her as a character. It's selfish.
"I can't Shepard I have..."
"Are they more important then saving the damn galaxy Liara?"
If there is a singular canon storyline for the films I actually would expect it to be Liara for a LI in ME1, Tali for a LI for ME2, and a Tali - Liara - Shepard love triangle in ME3. They could have a whole inner beauty vs. outer beauty theme going on there too.

Um, no, she could've given Shepard's body to the Alliance and let Shepard rest in peace, that would have been selfless. But instead she gives Shepard to Cerberus to be exploited by terrorists because she can't let Shepard go.
And if Shepard is romacing someone else, the selfless thing to do would be to tell Shepard's lover (the Virmire Survivor) all about what she did, and maybe send along some of those momentos she's been hoarding (like Shepard's armour) so that Shepard's lover could have a little closure, a litttle peace, or maybe some hope that he or she will see Shepard again.
But no, she selfishly keeps those things to herself. <_<

Can you imagine a spacer Shepard. She kept the dog tags instead of giving it to Hannah, that's not cool. I never liked her rommance in ME1 (too easy, she was offering herself).
