There is piracy on the PC but it is frowned upon.  If you admit to being a pirate in Steam chat or any game online you will be shunned, condemned, and people will try to get you banned for being the worthless parasite on the industry you are.

If you are a console gamer and you pirate though you're championed as a freedom fighter.  A vigilante fighting an oppressive regime.  A warrior for the modern day civil rights movement taking down the fascist gestapo.

Oh I agree.

PC piracy is declining sad but true.

I see the Diablo 3 AH news has hit BSN, oh god. As an avid member of diablofans.com (the official fan site for Diablo 3 news since Diablo 2) I'll explain.

In Diablo 3 there will be 2 AH's the gold AH and the cash AH.

The gold AH works similar to WoW's in-game AH, gold for items, simple.

The cash AH is similar but is a bit different.

First off in Diablo 3 every player will have an e-balance (it is assumed this will be integrated into all Blizzard games). The E-balance is like your electronic banking account, you put money into the E-balance so you can do electronic transactions.

However, even though you can put real-world cash into the e-balance account, you will not be able to withdraw real-world cash from the e-balance account. On the plus side, Blizzard confirmed said e-balance account can be used to purchase Blizzard games and DLCs.

It is also possible to use and profit from the Cash AH without spending a dime. There's is a weekly free waivers, which come out herp derp weekly, these waivers basically give you small small amount of cash into your e-balance account. This will enable all players to use the Cash AH, not to mention if you do the math and can wait that long, the waivers will stack up and eventually you can buy those top-notch items or whatever from the Blizzard store.

IMO, I support this new implementation into Diablo 3 and Blizzard games.

I put links showing that you can cash out on money made through the AH and the discussion has moved from Diablo III now to Busomjacks stupid backwords logic that Diablo III won't sell because it's on PC.

I'm happy as long as they aren't going to start charging ANY kind of ongoing fee for playing it on their servers. If this turns out to be the case, I won't be purchasing it, much like WoW.

I higly doubt it, right from before SC2 was released and BNet 2.0 was in the works, they stated that aside from WoW BNet 2.0 service would be free.

Interesting....
I'll never use it, but interesting.

Although i don't really see why they are doing this.... oh, they're part of Activision, nevermind.

Honestly i don't give a S**t, all i want is my F***ing Diablo III, Right now, it's been too long.
As long as they release it and i can play it and it's good, i'll be happy, they can add whatever they want, they can even add Justin Beiber if they want, i don't care, i'll be happy to see one of my favorite Action/RPG franchises back.

Or maybe because there will services that sell it illegally anyways? This can promote buying and selling of loot and reduce spammers and such. It can also encourage spending on the Blizzard store. It's entirely optional and I would assume no one has a problem but I already see people ****ing about this on other forums. I mean really Valve does with Team Fortress 2 and the Mann Co. Store.

"Hey, rape is against the law, but if we remove the law nobody will break it!"

Rich people buy high tier gear
Poor people grind and sell gear
Blizzard takes a cut

This doesn't sound much like a game to me, it sounds more like prostitution and pimping (on Blizzards end) to be honest.

Don't worry your cancelling of preorder will be replaced by placing of a preorder for it.

I think everyone should sign a contract when sign upto an ISP, a contract that makes then agree to counselling and anger management courses because all I see on the internet these days is people moaning and raging over everything as though everything is an affront to their existance. If you don't like what someone is doing or making then just don't buy it. From the people who moan about this the most they all keep saying they will get Torchy2 instead so just go do that and leave D3 to the rest of us who still want it.

I'm NOT buying it...But I'm still going to **** and moan about the fact that Blizzard Activision destroyed a good series (that Blizzard created) in the name of extensive profiteering. And yes, I know they're a business, but guess what? I'm a gamer, not a traveling merchant in my spare time... This will only benefit rich people looking for an easy way, that's not what gaming is about...

Pretty sure the game itself will be as good as always been so they haven't destroyed anything imho. They had the same thing in D2 only it was under the radar via ebay so you shouldn't be all hissy about them introducing a regulated version of the non-regulated one from previous title. In which case why aren't you saying D2 ruined the series not D3 since that had people trading and buying gear externally in first place. IF anything this will stop people being scammed.

Heh I don't see it that way. I don't pvp so I fail to see the problem. I'll most likely only play with my real life friends and possibly my guild from WoW. People are just jealous someone else can afford to spend money on some gear.

That is exactly what I will be doing, though don't have many old WoW friends still speak too since quit the game but yeh playing with friends taking my time and hunting my own gear with friends help; its what I enjoy.

A guy made a video making fun of the people getting upset over Blizzard's stuff. It's... interesting. I think he gives away the joke way too quickly.
