Not sure if this is the place to put it, but I need help.

I'm about 98% sure that, less than a year ago, I had the DA:O toolset installed on my computer. Not being able to figure out how to use it, and lacking the patience to learn, I uninstalled it. Recently, I decided to give it another shot. Here the issue:

When installing Microsoft SQL server 2005, it gets to "Setting Server network Default Settings" and nothing else happens.

I mean, no other piece of the installation takes longer than 30 seconds, and I'm staring at the same spot of the bar for hours. LITERALLY hours. I've watched the bar not change for 2 1/2 straight hours. The log document, right at the end, reads:

"Doing Action: Do_SetServerSSNLDefaultsPerfTime
Start: Do_SetServerSSNLDefaults : Mon Aug 01 07:35:42 2011
<Func Name='Do_SetServerSSNLDefaults'>"

and nothing else. For the whole time.

A clean boot didn't work, nor did a brand-new admin account. Also, when I try to delete it from the registry, I get "Unable to delete all specified values"

Anybody else had this issue? Or another idea on how to solve?

Have you read the datoolsetwiki and tried the manual install of SQL server 2005 together with the manual install of the DAODatabase?

If that doesn't work come back and post your system specs and the toolset log for when you try to open it.

we usually take these post in the toolset forum.

Didn't find the toolset form. Installing SQL server 2005 by itself didn't work, either. Same issue. Just a few minutes ago, though, I found that programs like SpeedBit Video Accelerator and Download Accelerator Plus have been known to cause SQL server installation to freeze right there. I deleted them and am re-trying (yet again) to install the toolset. I'll post if it worked or not.

EDIT: It worked. w00t! :wizard:
