Is this a bug? this is the first time I got past Act I so isn't there supposed to be a conversation which leads to this quest? I am almost done with Act 2 so I am a bit worried. Thanks
Possible to miss a Bitter Pill quest? the conversation with Fenris never took place?

In Act 2, you need to have Fenris in your party and take him outside of Kirkwall proper (Wounded Coast or Sundermount). This will trigger an ambush that then initiates the conversation for the quest.

Have you taken Fenris on one of the excursions outside of Kirkwall?

Fenris quest was bugged for me this round. I don't know if it was that I did Legacy fairly early in act 2. But nothing about Fenris worked properly after that. Maybe it was just once. I really hope so anyway=)

I've got an amusing bug where with a Hawke who shipped him to Danarius in Act 3, post-campaign I can redo that quest where go to the Hanged Man... I've only done it once and in that instance took the same approach. I'm partially intrigued to do the alternative to see if he then returns to my party post-campaign.
The other funny thing about that bug is, if take same option again, at the end it ports you to Lowtown, so I can around the shops there again post-campaign (only that instance, soon as exit lowtown it greys out again).
