Legacy gives a glimpse of hope

Bioware should take a note of this and see that if something is done right and in the spirit of the whole setting/story we got from DA:O, the fans will (and do) not care for the reviews.
I just hope that Bioware will even more take notes from the criticsm they got from the members on this forum (myself included), since many that thrashed DA2 did it out of care for the great game, story, setting and potential that DA:O offered.
Anyway, Legacy is a good step forward regarding story and I hope Bioware keeps it that way in the future.
I hoped that there will be an improvement regarding the conversation wheel since in many casses when you did all the questions and get back to the three options (diplomatic, sarcastic, aggresive) the line that follows sometimes seems a bit out of context. I guess and hope it will be something looked upon in future.

Whatever their excuses they blew it with DA2. The list of bad game designs and decisions is too long to list here. The only hope for the DA universe is a DA3 developed by a different team with different goals.

That's odd. The reviews say DA2 was good but people are saying it s*cks while reviews say Legacy s*cks and people say it's good??
The bandwagon. The sites jumped on it.

If you disliked dragon age 2 is useless for you spend other money to puchase a dlc for it no matter of how good it is..
I played and finished DA2 but i not played legacy so i can't give opinions on it..

I never care for reviews, I buy games if I like, don't care if is 5 stars or none. Is all about people opinions, I got Oblivion.. is like 4 half stars and I never got a character out of the prison cell.. thats how horrible that game is.
Skyrim.. isn't going to make me change my mind, not a bit.
Legacy DLC is great and people should give it a chance, just remember Legacy happens before the end game, so act 2 or the start of act 3 is the best time to play it. The items: Champion set is the best item of the game.
Have fun!

Many on this forum, including MANY of those who disliked DAII disagree with this rather shortsighted view, you know?

So you thought the intro of DA2 was good enough to stick with but found Oblivion's intro too terrible to continue...? Interesting. I thought DA2 intro was the worst intro of any game this console generation. I hurried through that abomination of an introduction as fast as possible. It was terribadsupersuckalottadung.

They're definitely listening to fan feedback, you can see it in the DLC. I thought Legacy was good on its own. Anyone who says it's more of the same is being disingenuous at best.

Actually I agree with her. Buying a DLC for a game you hate isn't very logical. There are those who gave it a shot anyways and liked it though.
But it wasn't really what I was referring to above.

Absolutely, it takes the best features from DAO and DA2 and melds them into 3-4 hours of great gaming fun - in my humble opinion of course.

I felt that same way about Obilivon everyone was "OMG Awesome" and i was like "eh?"...I tried, i really tried but I just couldn't. Not going to say it did deserve the praise. I have my eye on Skyrim so we shall see.

Probably depends on what you like out of a DLC and DA2.
For me, the one pet peeve I have about all DLCs (not just DA) is that they try to keep expenses down by not rehiring the voice talent. So your companions are either forced to be elsewhere (ME2:Arrival) or Stand around and say nothing (ME2:LotSB). Sometimes they go a middle ground where you only get conversation if you bring the exact combination of companions (Return to Ostagar)
Since I play Bioware games for the companion interraction, I'm usually disappointed. Legacy didn't do that. They put in dialogue for everyone, and even had that dialogue vary based on when you play it. which gives it lots of replay value.
The adventure itself is very solid. Most agree that its an improvement over the base game. Loot is good for when you get it, but doesn't scale with you.
So I'd say its worth it if you loved spending time with the companions and want to know more about Dragon Age. If your favorite part is just the action, you'll probably enjoy it but find it on the short side for the price. It only gains its full value when replaying for all the dialogue.
Ugh. more long winded than I intended. Sorry about that.

I disagree. Legacy is a step back from my perspective. Instead of taking several good concepts ( like how Act 2 was for instance ) they decided to go back to a cliche storyline.
thx for the opinions mate

The demo was the worst part of the game. But fair enough. Was just curious.

That being said, I do hope they'll avoid the ''Save the world because you're awesome and completely good and right about everything'' idea in DA3.
Why? What possible reason is there for them to give it to you beyond ''I want it for free!''? They worked on this. It's quality entertainment, why the hell would they just hand it out? Contrary to popular opinion, Bioware doesn't owe us anything for creating a game that deviates from the norm.asminho wrote...
