One of my favourite Quarian concpets looks really human, but I love it anyway because it looks so much like the face you can actually see behind the visor.

I like the image. The problem I have with so many of the Quarian concepts is that they go so far in trying to make the Quarians look alien that they just end up looking nothing like what we can see of the Quarians face. flattening the nose, which is very clearly human in shape, is where most fall short.

I do like the idea of Quarians being hairless.

We've got enough hairless aliens.

I'll be happy with however Tali *does* look like, however, for those crying "Human!", Bioware's limited it so much that she'll have to look very similar. Though I still think quill-hair would be teh kewlsauce =)

It also fits her masked silhouette.

I love how people want something more alien, when we're already shown human-shaped eyes, nose and cheeks, and read that the rest of the face is human-shaped as well, except the ears. Those and hair are the only things unspecified.
Try to realize that the 'placeholder' inside the suit is not an actual character design and was never intended to be. The only thing you're 'supposed' to see from that place holder are the vague outline of eyes and nose (at least, that's all I can see through the mask). What you can see is deliberately vague so that, should Bioware decide to actually let us see Quarians, they can choose pretty much any design they want, and it will fit in with the nebulous details we've seen through the mask.

Exactly my sentiments. The 'lore' on quarians is vague at best, and all these posts mentioning the placeholder always fail to note how the male quarians have nothing but eyeballs on their mesh.
Until quarians *are* revealed, it's all fair game in my book.

That is like as if the Master Chief's face were to be revealed in Halo4 and he turned out to be a dark skinned man, when in the novel Halo: Fall of Reach describe him as a pale white with freckles.Fata Morgana wrote...

On ME: Ascension states that they (Quarians) are human like. So for whoever wants Predator like Quarian, well, it wont happen.

Huh? You think my belief that quarians have scales is a troll? Why?
Grunt is the one who says that quarians aren't 'soft' the way humans and salarians are, so scales seem like a pretty standard option.
If you really loved Tali, you'd love her even if she weren't beautiful in a human-esque way. I am kind of hoping that Bioware does reveal Tali's face in 3, and that her face is alien and strange (but still appealing in an alien way).
FYI, Grunt has never seen a Quarian outside of their suit before. That also includes their helmet as well. Grunt is fairly stupid. Read Grunt's profile in the Shadow Broker base. He can't spell majority of his words correctly.
The Tali design that's presented here is fine. I find that face relative to the lore, beautiful, and sweet. It would match well with her voice. People may disagree that her hair is over toned (and to some degree I agree with them) but it fits with the "surprisingly human" aspect of Quarians. I wouldn't be surprised if Tali physically looks like a beautiful human female meshed with Turian scale features. After all, isn't that acceptable to the lore?

All quarian concepts are fine until Bioware reveals them. There's nothing in the lore saying the quarians can't have spines like mine do. In fact, the more I think about it and the fact the geth have the little flaps that flare when they speak like eyebrows the more I think it'd make sense for them to have something just like that. Quills that lay flat when they're 'normal' and spike out when they're angry or suprised. lmao I'd find that totally hilarious....
