I just wanna see what they look like for the sake of finally seeing; not particularly bothered about HOW they look.

At the end of the day, that's my sentiment also. I'm a female player and didn't romance Tali so I'm not really that invested in how they look for my own interests, I'd just like to 'put a face to a name' as they say.

The Tali design that's presented here is fine. I find that face relative to the lore, beautiful, and sweet. It would match well with her voice. People may disagree that her hair is over toned (and to some degree I agree with them) but it fits with the "surprisingly human" aspect of Quarians. I wouldn't be surprised if Tali physically looks like a beautiful human female meshed with Turian scale features. After all, isn't that acceptable to the lore?

All quarian concepts are fine until Bioware reveals them. There's nothing in the lore saying the quarians can't have spines like mine do. In fact, the more I think about it and the fact the geth have the little flaps that flare when they speak like eyebrows the more I think it'd make sense for them to have something just like that. Quills that lay flat when they're 'normal' and spike out when they're angry or suprised. lmao I'd find that totally hilarious.... ^_^

Haha! Kinda like a Predator or an Elite from Halo with their mandibles when they get angry  Too bad Quarians can't stay out of their suits for very long. Whatever Bioware wants to reveal for the Quarians, they can do it, but I vouch for this thread's Tali image :wizard:

People still on the Tali romance huh? :P

Do people actually want to see Tali unmasked? I mean whatever the artist create it won't make everyone happy. Isn't the mystery the best thing about Tali or is that just me?

I guess it doesn't bother me really I am romancing Ashley, and Miranda for my Male Shepards and Kaidan and Liara for my Female Shepards. :P

I wouldn't mind if Tali was never unmasked IF they never made her romanceable.  However, she is a romance-option who reveals her face to the character you're supposed to be playing as if you romance her---- but they don't show the player themselves.  I felt incredibly distant from the whole RPG aspect of the game when I romanced her and this happened, and I feel Bioware would be cheating people out if they didn't show her face.

If Bioware didn't want her face to ever be shown, they should never have made her a romance option is all I'm sayin.

I was cruising around deviantart when I came across this drawing of a Tali's face. I never understood the appeal however, she's still a cool character. I wouldn't really have a problem if this is what she ended up looking like.

We've got enough hairless aliens.

I'm of a mixed opinion when it comes to hair, and haven't made up my mind yet.

On the one hand we have too many bald aliens as it is, and hair does serve a biological purpose. It protects our brains from both the heat of our sun and extreme cold temperatures. Surely we wouldn't be the only species that needed protection from it's parent star and from cold climates.

But on the other hand, giving an alien species hair could easily make them look too human. In fact if Bioware gave the Quarians hair they'd probably have to double up on the alien features of their face and skin just so that they don't look like humans.

The alternative to hair or bald heads is to give them a mane of feathers or something similar to it. Feathers would serve the same biological purpose as our hair, and the first animals to have had feathers on our planet were flightless.

i really hate stupid talimancers who use that placeholder model as some sort of evidence she looks humanish. apparently they're not smart enough to figure out what placeholder means...

anyhow, like i said, i awnt her to actually look alien, not like a cheap star trek alien that has just head frills or ridges. its just bland and boring. i'll be disappointed if she looks like that and have even less interest in her character than i already do.

also quarians having visible hair makes no sense. i mean their species could grow hair, but tali would not have any hair, as having a head of hair stuck in your helmet would cause all sorts of issues, so they'd all shave their hair off, or use chemicals to stop hair growth, ect. but she wont have hair at all.

i mean would you really want your hair shifting inside your helmet and clogging a filter or something? yeah, thats great.

this thread is exactly why talimancers are the worst.

Nice artwork, but it's still too human/elvish looking to me. Aliens really need to look like aliens. I can forgive the Asari, but every other species we've encountered at least looks the part.

We already have humans with head tentacles. We don't need humans whose only other discernible feature are their chicken legs.

Shepard, in-game, already knows what Tali looks like (at least if she is the love interest), so that's out of the picture -- unless you mean from the player's perspective, in which case I agree.

That looks way too human, if you ask me. Hair, red lips, ears similar to humans', even very similar facial structure.

Look, I did a Tali romance on my first playthrough (although it sits alongside saves with all the other female LIs) and about the only thing I really want to avoid is the "space-elf" look. Give me something that's distinctive and isn't hideous and I'll be happy.

Side note: Now that I think about it, a good moment for the big reveal would be setting foot on Rannoch, providing an in-lore excuse to take off the mask (wanting to breath the air of her homeworld or somesuch). Somebody else probably thought of that, though.

Looks sexy, but also resembles human or even elf. Of course, it would be nice to see her like that, but still... I didn't romance that whiny fan girl with a tummy ache and a bucket on head so I don't really care. The art is great, of course. Well, let's hope that Tali's face won't be as ugly as Miranda's.

file:///C:/Users/Admin/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot-4.pngIt's already been shown that quarian faces have human-like silhouettes. Making them look any other way would be a retcon.

Dang it! When I try to edit those last two posts, everything looks normal, and I can't remove that gibberish. Sorry for the triple post.

When her physiology looks like a hybrid between insectoid and avian... I doubt she'd have a face like that.

Unimaginative.
But I doubt that BioWare has a lot better concept, since we can already see that Tali has a human-like nose.

I would have imagined her more "alien" in appearance. Not exactly sure how though.

Problem is, that if she is to be a love interest for a human, she can't really look like Predator, but we also don't really want a space-elf (do we??) either. So the trick is to make her look alien, but not so alien that a human wouldn't find her attractive.
