People still on the Tali romance huh?
Do people actually want to see Tali unmasked? I mean whatever the artist create it won't make everyone happy. Isn't the mystery the best thing about Tali or is that just me?
I guess it doesn't bother me really I am romancing Ashley, and Miranda for my Male Shepards and Kaidan and Liara for my Female Shepards.
I don't know about everyone else but for me I want to know every single little detail about tali and the other quarians along with every thing else in the galaxy. I might be in the minority here but I don't like mystery as I said before I want to know every single little detail on everything on the quarians and the other races and everything else in the galaxy. I want everything to be open to us like a book if you will.

I'm very flattered you actually think that would be Bioware level work. It's not, and I'm not a dev. I'm not even an art student. I'm just someone on a mission.

Anyways I do like this over that OTHER Tali fan art. That was WAAAAAAAAAY too human for what is supposed to be an "alien."

Damn, no idea how to Insert an image here.
Or this one, which has been around for a while. Both are great.
Personally, as someone already said, I like the idea of an alien with hair since none of the others have it. Hair, fur and feathers are common answers to how to insulate the body, so are likely to evolve on other worlds.
As for hair clogging up a helmet, why should it? We lose "Over a 24-hour period, you lose almost a million skin cells [source: Boston Globe]." and they are made of keratin, which is what hair, nails and even porcupine quills are made of. So how does her suit cope with all that cell debris per day, hm? So hair will be no problem in comparison.
Think of the dust you get in your PC when you clean it out.. you do clean it out, right? That fine almost greasy stuff is sklin debris.
But quills like a porcupine that raise and lower instead of hair? Really? Inside a head shaped enviro helmet?? I can imagine the pain of them wanting to move and having no room to do it from the shape of the "head" we see for Tali!
Plus as I said, they are made of Keratin, the same stuff of hair and skin, so scales of that falling off is no worse than hair. In fact stands of hair is easier to get rid of than a fine cloying skin dust like you get inside the PC!

It's Stanley, not Steve, and I'm a fan of his underpost/thread-locking inscriptions, as can be seen in my own inscription just below this sentence.Mecha Tengu wrote...

Given what we know from the codex and what we can see through the mask, there is only so much un-human that they can add. I like the face concepts linked above, despite the apparently universal head tentacles. I also kind of like this (deviantArt link).

I love how people want something more alien, when we're already shown human-shaped eyes, nose and cheeks, and read that the rest of the face is human-shaped as well, except the ears. Those and hair are the only things unspecified.
I'll be happy with however Tali *does* look like, however, for those crying "Human!", Bioware's limited it so much that she'll have to look very similar. Though I still think quill-hair would be teh kewlsauce =)
I always thought real thick tendril-like hair would be interesting.
For an example, see the infested form of Kerrigan from Starcraft 2.

Unlike quite a few other fanarts, this actually looks fairly consistent with what we can see through the helmet. Kind of a "pre-romance possibility" version though...
