Do away with the human-like ears, remove the iris and eyebrows, make the eyes more sheen white, remove the human-like nose and lips.. replace the ears with tenacles and have parts of her body, neck and face have illuminescent spots much like deep sea fish.... then you got a deal.

Unlike quite a few other fanarts, this actually looks fairly consistent with what we can see through the helmet. Kind of a "pre-romance possibility" version though...
And as FemShep, my favourite LI is Garrus, so I'm all for the ugly aliens.
