Anti-Magic Ward
Mana Clash
Animate Dead
Spell Wisp+Spell Might
Mind Blast
Force Field
Crushing Prison
Stinging Swarm
Some of my favorites at least.
Also Earth, Frost, and Lightning are good for primal. I favour Lightning myself but most like Frost cause of the freeze effect.

Regeneration is the best heal of the normal heal spells. Keep in mind when using Blood Magic active that your -90% to healing on yourself.

so take basic heal and leave the higher healing power to Wynne? Or just be really careful when unleashing blood magic?

Neat little trick to have nearly infinite mana, especially when coupled with Dark Sustenance.

True, but at 20 hp regen you'll have enough fuel to cast spells for a looooong time as long as you don't draw aggro too much.

Ive had alot of use out of this build, and I play a Caster not a melee AW.
Heres a Pic. Aphelion Surana when I went to Orzamaar right after Lothering to get Ohgren.
I tend to play more tacticaly with the spells hence my preferance for Spirit and Glyphs. With some choice control spells from Entropy. For a damage mage I forgot about another spell I like to use "Curse of Mortality" it prevents healing but its also a pretty high spirit damage over time spell.
Affliction Hex+Stinging Swarm+Virulent Walking Bomb+Curse of Mortality+Crushing Prison = Huge AoE DOT damage.

my other blood mage is more of primal spell combo based nuker. so i add in spells that are needed for the combo like grease and spell might and such. will add in vulnerability hex if i can squeeze them in.

We all know bout the Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage.
I hear Blood Mage/Spirit Healer works great. (And makes you technicaly a Abomination)
Blood Mage/Shapeshifter can kinda work, ive played it and its definetly a unique playstyle.
What about Awakening specs? I found Keeper mixes with Blood Mage amazingly well.

I really feel Blood Magic comes up incredibly short of its potential.
I suggest watching the anime or reading the manga "Deadman Wonderland" for a good example and use of blood manipulation and its consequences.
Some other sources of Blood Manipulation can be found in the Anime/manga "Darker than Black" and also in the Anime/Manga "Hellsing" and in the Anime "Vampire Hunter D Blood Lust". another source of referance material can come from the vampiric abilities that use blood from the game seies Legacy of Kain, and Castlevania. White Wolfs Vampire the Masqurade as a entire clan that specialise in Blood Manipulation called the "Tremere" thats a good source.

The spells I had were (cant remember all of them)
Mage: Arcane Mastery
Primal: Fireball, Cone of Cold, Shock.
Creation: Mass Rejuvenation, Stinging Swarm.
Spirit: Spell Shield, Crushing Prison.
Entropy: Death Hex, Death Cloud.
Blood Mage: Blood Wound.
Spirit Healer: Group Heal.
Awakening
Same spells in Origins.
Arcane field(or something like that)
Battle Mage:Hand of Winter
