Within the Carta Hideout there is a statue to click on to return to the main game. Also, your storage chest will also pop up before entering the full tower and and give you the option to change you're party.
Yeah, I think the one statue, then the chest and the change your party are the only things. I did really appreciate all of those things popping up. Loved being able to go back and sell stuff.

Something that I didnt like about the dlc from DAO especially in GOA and WH was not being able to access my storage chest at Soldier's Peak. I still paid for the chests to be included in my game and this sort of ticked me off with those dlc. So Bioware has corrected this problem with DA2 or so it seems. I would still like to see a patch for this with GOA and WH to allow this.

Also, there is a reason the game won't let you back out by the main gates. I missed this on two of my playthoughs before finding a video of the reason on youtube. I was like dang I missed that.
that's made me curious - what's the reason/ how do I find the oyoutube link ?

I think once you go through the gate by the statue there is no going back. You're next opportunity to change it up is at the entrance to the tower itself when you find your storage box and to change party members. At this point there is no turning back. Beat the content or forget it.

on the other hand, once I go through gate by statue in hidehout, I'm locked into a big fight wheich wins me a key to continue on down, but I can't then reutn ro status side of gate... is that right
so either I go through gate, do battle, play DLC to completiogn or I have to return to main game NOW to stock up / change party etc...

Hmm. I think there's also an opportunity right before the final battle to return to Kirkwall if necessary.
If there is, I haven't found it. There is the opportunity before reaching the final level to Cory himself to swap out party members and unload stuff in your party chest. If you want to return to Kirkwall before Cory you have to run all the way back to the statue in the Carta Hideout.
If someone finds a way back from within the tower itself, please post.

When I use the statue to get back to Kirkwall I cant find a way back to the statue again. Theres no option if I leave the house and if I click on the desk its empty even if there are several "eyes" on it. Whats wrong? Does it help if I reinstall the Legacy Quest?
You have to go back and click on the statue in your house and this will pop you back to the other statue in the carta hideout I believe.

the legacy link staue is on one of the upstairs landings of Hawkes estate, took me a while to find it 2nd time around
and could the guy who sais " run back from final tower to staue in carta hideout" explain how yo get through the locked gate that's between you & the statue ( the one that locked behind you & trapped ou in a bif fight when you moved into the room beyond the carta hideout statue ) . I think the other posters are right & there's no way back thru that gate ???

yep but I wimped & did that boss fight on casual ( as there are no save points between the various stages of the battle & I hate dying near the end of long battles then ahving to do it all again. IF I'd not seen the youtube clip I would have assumed it was an unwinnable fight i.e. a dead end trap.
tried it once on normal at first & got massacred! ( with characters from early in act 2 of main game)
I still don't get how one could logically puzzle out needing to go back there ( I gues that's why they called it a secret boss ! )

I would have pm'd you the link to the vid. I didn't want to spoil it for you. I found the secret boss the same way on youtube! I found it by accident.
I didn't do to bad with it on normal. Yeah, I got killed a couple of times until I figured out what to do. Most of my characters so far have gone in with post saved games. My current character I'm taking in during Act 2. It will be interesting to see what happens. Do you have any of the weapons packs dlc? I just purhcased these when I purchased Legacy and I think this helped me having that equipment with this fight.
I think once a player goes through that gate between the actual tower floors and the carta hideout, there is no going back to Kirkwall after this point. So stock up before you go or make a supply run before hand at the statue.
