Random GSoD when loading or playing ME2

Some issues I have that I ignored is a freeze in LoSB when Shep meets Vaseer. It sometimes freeze at that line about spectres. Or Mordin's image not coming up in Tuchanka when Shep says to go on after talking about the dead female Krogan, when Mordin nods and says "Yes." Or even slight skips when Shep moves about; on Horizon when lowering gun after seeing Delann and leaning down to look at console when deciding on who should go into the ventilation shaft in Collector Base.
Orther recent slight glitches is desktop icons not appearing to load as fast as they should. So is it the graphic card or something else? Anyone?

ME2 specifically requires DX9.0c. DX11 is not backwards compatible enough for ME2 to run properly. Download and install it from Microsofts website.
Download and install the latest driver for Realetk audio from Realetk's website. The one that comes with Win7 is known to be buggy as hell. 51+ page thread entry on the Win7 forums confirms it.
What is the actual driver revision of your GPU as listed on Nvidias website, and not the number that WIndows gives it.

Thanks for responding. ^^
The thing is, I've been running ME2 (v 1.02) for the past 2 mths without a hitch. The hiccups are usually a missing char at the same old spot (that happens too on my old sys which is a xp) and a bit of jerky / missing motion. It's only the past few days I start to get these crashes and freezes. I've not installed anything new this past week, only updates to virus, etc. I ran the game for like 6 hours earlier and there was no crash. When I tested it just now, it starts to crash at the galaxy map which never happened before. I also opened the ME2 config utiliy just now to check settings and the whole sys just went to sleep!
The only change I made to config is to enable 18x AA which I figure the card can handle!
I guess it can't. Not with DX 11 + 18x AA. I'm surprised it didn't cough earlier. But I've to confess I suspect the garphic card is on the blinker or something.
P.S. It's pointless to install Realtek driver because due to power failure at the wrong time while I was uninstalling the driver, the registry is @!! up. It will require a fresh install of W7 to straighten the registry. The option to bypass the inbuilt sound chip is defeated by the bloody cooling system; the stupid thing is blocking the slot on the board. The tech says there's another smaller cooling device but I couldn't find it, I think there isn't one or he forgot to include it in the box.
I'm not tech savvy btw, just know bits and pieces.

Have you tried a registry cleaner?? Gary Utilities and CCleaner are the ones I think Bogs recommends. As another note, you may want to start removing sticks or Ram and see if the crashing can be eliminated by finding a bad stick. I recently had a 2g stick of ram die to the point of BSoD until removed, but I was getting some odd crashes before that.

Once thats done, download the new Realtek driver, and I would also suggest removing the AA, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Oh yes, I made a mistake regards the AA setting. It was the anisotropic filtering I was referring to.
