  All right, Jack, I've had enough. So you were raised in a Cerberus compound, had horrors inflicted upon you day in and day out. I understand that. That's horrible. Every turn you've made in your life you feel like you're just meant to be used or kill anyone who says otherwise. You feel like that because of every horror inflicted upon you, you have complete and total justification to commit the same horrible things to other innocent people. You're no better than Cerberus, those cultists, the mercs, any of them! Everyone on this team has scars. What makes you so different?


  Zaheed was betrayed by his own men and took a gunshot to the head from his best friend.

  Garrus was betrayed by one of his closest squadmates, and has to deal with the deaths of the ten good men he inspired to make a difference in the galaxy around them.

  Tali not only has to cope with the loss of her father, but with the fact that he is the greatest war-criminal in her people's known history! 

  Samara has spent the past 600 years hunting her own daughter, and just recently executed her.
 
  Jacob not only found out that his father was alive after ten years of believeing otherwise, finds out that the man was playing king and treating his female crewmates like pets!

  Grunt is a reject to his people simply because he was born by a tank!

  Miranda has been on the run from her father, a known tyrant and madman, and has to silently watch over her sister every day.

  Joker has Vrolex Syndrome, he makes one wrong move, he breaks that bone.

  Thane is dying, Jack. Dying! He still volunteered for this! Even after seeing his son for the first time in over a decade!

  Mordin has to live with the guilt of the "gentle" genocide of an entire race! 

  You want to point the finger at me? Fine. I'll show you some of my scars. Take a good, hard look at my face. I didn't ask to have my face light up like a Christmas tree! I died Jack! I was in a coma for two years while my friends and family thought I was dead! Then, I come back, and nobody wants to believe me, and my closest friends hold me at arms-length. I'm the first Human Spectre, and the council refuses to listen to me! I know that the Reapers are coming to wipe us out, and I know that we won't be ready because nobody listens to me!

  Regardless. I keep fighting on. We keep fighting on. I've had enough of your pathetic attitude and "shorter-knife" philosophy. Grow up, put some clothes on, and act like you want to be part of this team.

I still think that all the stuff that happened to jack is worse that all of the stuff you just listed combined.

I do too.

And I haven't played in a while, but I think if you tell Jack to basic "deal with it" or"suck it up," she respects that.

She doesn't seem to expect you to pander to her or try to fix her. She's explaining what she went through at your prodding. The only thing she wants to do is destroy the facility she grew up on.

Obvious one is showing several people some of the post mission emails, like giving Garrus the messages from a squadmate's widow and Dr Michel, or showing Tali the impressively worded fatherly threat that Rael sends.
