Because those are very powerful words,even if they are overused (people often say it when they don't really mean it). If they dialogue is done well,and voice actors really made effort to make it sound genuine...

Ash, I haven't turned my back on anyyone or anything.  I'm as loyal to the Alliance as ever.  I was there with you when we stormed those Cerberus bases, I'm well aware of what they're capable of.  I don't trust any of them any further than I can throw them.  If there was any other way to stop the Collectors, I would leap at the chance.  But the Alliance has failed to do so.  The Council doesn't care, and I am otherwise out of allies.

 I swear to you that I will conduct my mission as I did before when we were after Saren.  I may have to bend or break laws, but I will do everything I can to protect humanity and the other races.  If I don't work with Cerberus, there won't be an Alliance or Council to save.  But  I'll do it without sinking to Cerberus' level.    

Here's a file of Cerberus records, take them to Captain Anderson.  I already made a copy for a crew member I picked up with a problem with Cerberus.  Maybe the Alliance can get some use out of them too.  Also, here's a record of the attack on Freedom's Progress.  It was taken by a quarian who was there who managed to escape notice.  See if you can contact Tali on the Migrant Fleet, she can verify it.

I have to get back to my mission.  I hope, when this is all over, we can get together and see if we can catch up.  But for now, kiss for luck?":devil:
