Quite annoying, destroys the game atmosphere.

When I pan the camera using the right mouse button, game runs smooth.  When I pan the camera using the keyboard A/D buttons, the game looks like stop motion.  Consistant behavior standing or running (holding "W")

Using a NVIDIA GTX 460...my web search on the subject regarding this game and NVIDIA cards netted several "theories" from bad video drivers and insufficient VRAM bandwidth to game .ini settings etc.   This was before I noticed the stutter does not occur when panning with the right mouse button.  I played with all the video settings and Directx 9 and 11,  it never goes away completely.

I now am inclined to rule out the GPU as a culprit.  This looks like a problem with the game engine.  Have a spare wired keyboard, a Logitech G15--no difference, and it uses its own driver.   I'm gonna try to be as nice as I can here:  I suspect input control likely developed for use with thumbsticks isnt interfaced well to PC keyboard control.

Please Bioware fix itPosted Image.

I thought it was a known issue, thread above gives fix.  Update to 1.03 and then find the option to uncheck advanced targeting option.

Ah! Thank You. Spent several hours with EA live chat tech support last night, and they hadn't tried that (yet). The issue is still open in regards to tech support. Question now is, what is "Advanced Targeting", and do I want it?

- In the gameplay options menu, it is now possible to disable enhanced targeting. Disabling this setting improves framerate but makes it more difficult to highlight characters or objects in some situations.

^from the patch notes listed in the sticky at top of forum about patch 1.03, under PC specific stuff.
Basically it makes it easier to choose things ingame. So you either live with the stutter and are able to use items easier in the game or get rid of it and have to work a bit more ingame.
