Pretty sure this topic has been discussed before, as a google search shows forum postings from the old bioware nwn sites; but a search on the general nwn site here shows nada. So, asking away now...
Playing a thief for the first time, have been recovering traps to try and sell them, but have been hitting that problem of 'stolen goods' not being accepted by merchants in Waterdeep...are there any merchants, shady or otherwise, in HotU who will accept the so called stolen traps? if not, certainly no point in recovering them anymore.

Certainly no respectable merchant would buy stolen goods.... which is what waterdeep is filled with, unfortunately.
Suppose you might be able to save them to sell in x2chap2 or 3
