i was just finishing a quest for a dwarf when i noticed a little notification which said EA server disconnected. i then tried to log back in but noticed the "you are currently not connected to the internet" text. i then proceeded to turn off ecn capability, reset my internet connection, forward every port i could find related to the dragon age servers, turn off my antivirus and windows firewall, run in windows xp compatibility mode and as administrator and still got the "you are currently not connected to the internet" text. i think i should note i have had no problems connecting to the servers until this point. i am running windows 7 64 bit and i am using dragon age: origins ultimate edition. does anyone have any ideas?

I'm having the same problem with the same setup, it occured at the same time too... been trying to get that 1.05 beta installed in the mean time with no luck, used Impulse to download it and when I run that patch it says Origins isn't even installed grrrrrr

i got the patch installed. no change. i was logged out of this site and when i tried to log back in i got a "cannot connect to authentication server" error so i tried to log in to EA so i could talk to support and i got a "Internet connection" error. i only just now managed to log back in.

This is weird, I installed the game on one computer and it works fine
Apart from the random crashes and DLC items missing couple of times.
Now I got a new computer and after I installed the game onto it,
it states I'm not connected to internet so I can't even log in (the botton fade out) and get my DLC!
I'm using the exactly same internet connection and Anti-Virus programs as my last computer,
so surely this cannot be an issue of my router?
EA and Bioware need to treat the internet connection seriously,
Mass Effect 2 has similar problem too...what kind of Auto-Login shuts down connection?

did it happen in the last 2-2 and a half hours? because if it did it seems there was some kind of fail on EA's end

I was considering their advise to uninstall and register/reinstall from EA's Origin client but when I went their it said their servers would be down from 12 to 2 PST. I'm not great with timezone conversion but isn't that about the time we noticed this?

thats two hours. if the servers were down from those times we can expect to see our connection restored very soon. if not, well i guess we will be back to discussing solutions very soon.

Got the same problem. It's hard to believe that's our PC's problem when we all got this at the same time.
Has anyone tried to ask EA what's happening? I tried to email EA via this site http://customersuppo...ginapp/login.do , but I even couldn't log in.

i had the same problem when i tried to get live help from EA. i think we can assume this is a fault on their end and not ours.

While we wait for servers to come back up, you said you were able to install 1.05? Shouldn't that mean you could play without a connection now? Only reason I can't get in is because of the authentication bug that patch is supposed to fix and allow you to play offline with the DLC still enabled.

Seen Drake0713 's info, that's helpful. And thank thecakeisalie19! Maybe just wait and the problem will be solved.

yes, i can play offline now with MOST DLC enabled but the blood dragon armor which my Alistair was wearing has disappeared from the game completely. i dont know why, but it has. i am now seeking a way to roll back to 1.04 without uninstalling.

Just so you guys know, I rang up this friend of mine who also plays DAO. He has already logged in ages ago and remain auto-login, apparently now he is in "Logged Out" mode, so I'm suppose there is a problem on the EA server?
